Personal Branding

What do you Need to be Successful on Instagram

Instagram is ideal for business promotion and personal branding. If the processes of registering and posting photos are understandable even for beginners, then promotion raises many questions. Today we will talk about how to promote your account and monetize it without additional investments, if you do not want to order advertising and buy Instagram followers.

How to start promoting an account

Start with the most important. Write down the promotion goals. For example, for bloggers, these are subscribers and an asset (which can be monetized in the future). For the company, these are sales, brand awareness, expanding the customer base, increasing customer loyalty, changing the habits of using the product (we define the main and secondary goals).

Come up with a visual packaging concept

At this stage, you need to develop a corporate style for the page. What photos of products will look like (if this is a page for selling products), what images and photo processing to use if you are promoting a personal brand or a blogger.

Of course, this does not mean that it is necessary to come up with something exceptional or take one color as a basis. At a minimum, you need to choose a single photo processing style (for example, a specific Lightroom preset) and images that will look organically on the page together. A recognizable feature increases the likelihood that they will want to know more about you.

Thanks to a single concept, you will be able to immediately attract the attention of random users and you will not often have to buy real Instagram followers, because people will subscribe to you themselves.

Plan methods and tools for feedback with the audience

You need to think in advance how communication with subscribers will take place. For example, communication will be conducted exclusively in Direct and comments. Or you will provide additional channels for communication, for example, through instant messengers. We recommend using multilink services to add more contacts, links to other social networks, a YouTube channel and a website.

Important: at the initial stage of promotion, you can process messages and comments yourself, but over time, you simply won’t have time for this. We advise you to start delegating authority in time.

Consider your advertising strategy

Launching advertising is one of the stages of promotion. Not mandatory, but effective (if done right). You can run targeted ads through Facebook or ads from bloggers.

Important: advertising must be purchased after the first subscribers appear on the page, who will be active, when you have enough content on the page. If you run an ad on a half-empty page with 10 photos and 300 subscribers, which has almost no comments, it is highly likely that you will not get the expected effect from the ad.

Analyze performance and make adjustments to your promotion strategy

At a minimum, you need to track and analyze internal statistics on the platform. You can use more informative paid services. Data analysis will help you understand in which direction you are moving and what should be changed in your promotion strategy.
