Who is Mic Ca$h? A Brand that Resonates Positivity Among Youths

Defining your brand as an artist is considered an important endeavor when it comes to choosing a look, career path, and even sound. Mic Ca$h believes a brand is the story a creative chooses to tell the world about what they are doing. It’s how they communicate their existence and everything they do. In the current digital age, musicians are meant to be their own creative directors. It’s possible to dream as big or as humble as they like, keep things simple, or create a huge artist persona, but without a reputable brand image, all these efforts might prove to be futile.

Michael De Herrera, known by the stage name Mic Ca$h aka Mr Get The Bag, is an artist, songwriter, executive producer and certified audio engineer, who has devoted his talent to inspiring a sense of greatness among his loyal fans. He considers his identity to be an entity that is energetic, vertile, dedicated, motivated, and has an unbelievable work ethic. Mic Ca$h does everything in house, from beat production and mixing to mastering and recording songs. Through it all, he strives to have the right kind of vibe whenever he is doing all these things because he knows external influences have the power to determine the art he comes up with.

Mic Ca$h has been doing music since he was a child. His father had an independent record label, and his grandfather has been promoting concerts for over 50 years. He insists that he didn’t choose music; instead, music chose him. With this kind of mentality and excessive hustle, a creative can achieve success in any endeavor he or she undertakes. This has been the signature of his brand image and identity over the years.

The purpose of a musician’s brand is to build awareness of their music—to develop a reputation, recognition, and, most importantly, a following. Mic Ca$h says that his brand was conceptualized strategically to denote a sense of intentionality, especially when it came to consistently producing music that resonates positivity among youths. Moreover, he understands that he is the business, and every business needs goals to keep it focused in a meaningful way. Mic Ca$h has always wanted to become a musical superstar, and the best way to achieve this ambition was to know everything that characterizes music production. He graduated from the Musician Institute in Hollywood with an audio engineering certification. Currently, he runs his own production company, which is successful thanks to the mentorship he has received from his life experiences, industry experiences, father and grandfather being involved in the industry when he was at a young age. He has also been watching & learning from his peers and successful businessmen of many different industries including the music business. It takes a lot of hustle, sacrifice , dedication, patience, consistency, and hard work. Mic Ca$h aka Mr get the bag has an unbelievable drive for success.

Mic Ca$h is consistently building his online and offline assets. These are things that he owns that communicate his brand message to his target audience. He then provides value to his audience, and in exchange, he is given the opportunity to continually sell himself with his unique appeal. Mic Ca$h’s persona is one that demonstrates genuineness, an attribute that is appreciated by his fans. Music for him is a chance to tell his story from his own experience and connect with people who believe in the relevance of his brand. “I’m the voice for the people that are never heard, the voice of the streets” -Mic Ca$h

Mic Ca$h aka Mr Get The Bag takes pride in having the best music production as well as having witty hard hitting lyrics that paint the picture of his life and his story hoping to help someone who can relate and that is going thru similar situations and navigate through life and certain environments we have to grow up in without a choice.
