10 Best Business Name Generators for Your Hospitality Business

According to the US Census Bureau, the Accommodation and Food Sector is slowly recovering from pandemic-induced decline. Recent reports indicated an average of 20,000 new business applications in the hospitality industry every month in 2021. This bodes very well for the economy as a whole. Finding the perfect business name is the natural first step for those looking to venture into starting a new business, but particularly one in the sector.

The chosen business name is of utmost importance because it is not simply just a name; it’s also a brand and concept associated with the business’s products and services.

Here are ten business name generators that can help brainstorm and find the best possible name for your hospitality business.

TRUiC Business Name Generator

The TRUiC Business Name Generator comes packed with lots of extras on top of business name generation; it includes all the information you need to start a business. The site uses advanced AI tools to generate available business names when you enter just three pieces of information: two keywords about the service or product and choosing the hospitality industry as the sector of choice. TRUiC (The Really Useful Information Company) will then generate hundreds of relevant business names to choose from.

Upwork

Upwork is a site where job hunters look for available work and find job offer posts. Unfortunately, the name generation on the site is a paid-for service; it’s not free. Here an expert human being helps walk clients through generating a business name. Prices range from $20 to $50, and the process is undoubtedly lengthier than the digital generators. However, some people prefer to verbalize their thoughts and get a creative design professional to help them instead. Another upside is that revisions and research are included with this kind of name generation service.

Wix Business Name Generator

The Wix Business Name Generator is easy to use: Input just two keywords, and the site will generate a list of potential business names. Wix’s focus on this feature is geared towards driving people to register their website domains, as their primary function is to be a platform for website builds and hosting.

Shopify

Shopify claims to be the quickest business name generator but falters in certain aspects. It only asks for one keyword, but one keyword couldn’t possibly describe an entire brand, so it will probably not yield the best name generation. Shopify’s primary focus is on registering a domain, so it’s not geared for great business name generation.

Novanym

As the best automated name generator on the market, Novanym has a bit of an awkward working structure. Considering naming a business by type may be an excellent way to play around with the generator, but it doesn’t deliver quality. Searching by traditional or corporate genres delivers an extensive list of words that won’t necessarily always correspond to the original business idea, but it is a fun place to start!

Anadea

Anadea is a free business name generator that is pretty straightforward to use. However, it also entails putting in keywords – for instance: guesthouse, maple tree, great breakfasts – and it will generate business names by amalgamating all the keywords to form a decent-sounding name.

Wordlab Business Name Generator

This business name generator boasts over 7.2 million potential business names, but it is not clear how one can hone in on the appropriate names for the hospitality industry. It is on the random generation side. One nice thing about Wordlab is they offer feedback from the member community on the site.

Dot-O-Mator Name Generator

Probably the most random name generator of them all, Dot-O-Mator provides a business name at the click of a button. Feeling a lot like gambling and less than a studied approach to finding the perfect business name for your accommodation or restaurant, this could turn out to be fun and spontaneous, and quite possibly inspired, but is not focused!

Namesmith

Namesmith takes their keyword input more seriously than the previous few mentioned name generators. Here, a maximum of 5 keywords can be typed in. It then provides an exciting array of business names, including deliberate and purposeful misspellings and prefixes or suffixes, and even tries out fantasy names based on your keywords.

Naming.Net

This business name generator asks for specific criteria like a root word, letter, syllables, rhymes, language roots (Greek or Latin), and many more variations. It then provides from 24 to over 800 possible names based on the search. Some of the names it offers are out there – comical, nonsensical, and sometimes downright weird. But it is so much fun to give it a try!

The Final Verdict

Many more business name generators online, with varying degrees of ease or input. The best ones are simple to use, require a healthy amount of keywords, and, particularly for the Accommodation and Food sector, should also consider the TYPE of industry the business name is geared for. With a primary focus on name generation and a bevy of explanatory videos and resources for all aspects of starting a new business, TRUiC is still the number one go-to for thousands of American startups.
