“22Gfay Delivers First Album Under OTR Records with “Stay For A Lil” Release”

Published

San Diego, California-based artist 22Gfay has released his newest album “Stay For A Lil”. The album serves as his official debut album under the independent record label OTR Records.

“Stay For A Lil” consists of 11 records and includes guest features such as MCM Raymond, Bravo The Bagchaser, EKillaOffDaBlock, and Gfeeni. Fan favorites on the album include “Sippin & Swervin'” (ft. Bravo The Bagchaser), and “FREEWHODOE”.

2022 has seen 22Gfay arguably evolve into one of San Diego’s most prevalent artists. The Filipino-American rapper’s melodic flair has provided him with a first-class ticket to the top with the helping hand of OTR Records.

Recently 22Gfay tapped MCM Raymond for the official music video for their collaborative track “Red Lights” directed by Blu. The somber track incorporates poignant lyrics revealing the brutal cycle of a dysfunctional connection and the effects of self-indulging in substances. The song allows listeners to follow the immersive mind of 22gfay with assistance from featured artist MCM Raymond who is the perfect feature for this track. The track is also a personal favorite. The melodies used in the track are similar to those he has used in the past but still tell the stories of his current hustle and adventure with the pain that comes from sacrifice.

Grayson Badere, who performs under the stage name 22GFay, is a Filipino-American hip-hop artist hailing from San Diego, California.

Since debuting his first official music video to his single “Choppa” with fellow hometown on riser Lil Maru in January of 2021, he has been able to amass over 3 million views on his music videos alone. The stylish and melodically captivating artist now averages about 28,000 monthly listeners on every streaming platform. He has been seen touring across the states with some of the west coasts most called upon acts.

Making Moves beyond his city, April 29, 2022, the young rapper announced that he had officially signed as an artist to OTR Records a Los Angeles-based label, marking the first time a San Diego native has joined the imprint. Since his signing, 22 has been on a constant uprise that just won’t ket up.

With his momentum picking up as fast as it is, 22 has plans to break out of the traditional West Coast sound and become a mainstream act coming out of the city of San Diego and break barriers in the mainstream arena come 2023.
