5 Social Media Tips to Boost Engagement

Social media is a big part of the marketing puzzle these days. With so many people using social networks, it’s important to make sure you’re reaching out to them and engaging with them on the channels they use most. Social media can be daunting at first glance, but there are some easy ways to increase engagement and grow your audience! In this blog post we will cover 5 social media tips that will help you reach more potential customers while staying active in your niche communities.

1. Create Consistent Content

Social media is all about consistency. If you are able to provide consistent content on a regular basis, your followers will know when and where they can find it! Create beautifully designed graphics that people enjoy sharing with their friends or use a social scheduling tool like Hootsuite (or Buffer) so that the work doesn’t pile up at once. Hootsuite and Buffer allow you to spread out your posts, so that they’re not all coming at the same time. That way your audience doesn’t get tired of seeing too much content from you in one day.

2. Create Blog Board

Social media is about more than just sharing your own content. Create a blog board that you can share with followers to promote other blogs in your niche and build relationships. Social Media has made it much easier for brands to discover new content, so use this opportunity to find some good reads for them in return. Make sure the post includes their social handle as well so they know who shared their work- after all, we’re all working together to make our voices heard online. Blog board posts should include a mixture of your own content, other blogs in the niche, and influencers that help you out along the way.

3. Add More Emotion to your Posts

Social Media is all about building relationships. Social media can be a great way to connect with people who share the same interests and values as you- it’s important that your voice comes through in the content you post. Social media posts are powerful because they create emotional connections with consumers by reminding them of their own past experiences or desires for future endeavours, so make sure there’s some emotion coming from within.

4. Be Visual

Social media is all about being visual. Social Media has changed the way we consume content and it’s important to keep up with the trends if you want your voice heard. Photos are a great way of providing valuable information fast- they’re easy to understand, shareable on many platforms, and don’t require any written explanation for people who might not speak English as their first language. Make sure that there’s an image in every post so that followers have something new to look at when scrolling through social channels.

5. Learn How to Write a Good Tweet

Social Media is all about engagement, and tweets are a great way to get your followers involved in the conversation. Social media posts work best when they’re personal and relatable- so think about what’s happening in YOUR life before posting on social channels. This will help you maintain an authentic voice that people can’t wait to hear from again. Your tweets are an easy way to increase your reach and give visibility to a specific campaign, makes sure they’re well planned out and include hashtags that will help you find new followers.
