8 FIGURE SECRETS WHEN BUYING A HOME – ROYSTON G KING

Royston G King here, this article serves as a personal anecdote and experience when it comes to buying and living in a new house to raise a family for the long term that is now worth over 8 figures.

Convenience:

Firstly, the convenience of the location is in my opinion the most important factor for choosing a home. My current house is what I consider a prime location, where i am less than 10 minutes away from all my essential needs. This includes a giant shopping mall with everything I ever need to buy like groceries and clothes, dozens of cafes/restaurants to try new ones, barber/salon shop, automobile maintenance shop, banks, veterinary, etc. As a business working professional, this saves me ample time and I can invite friends and relatives over to my place to meet for any occasion rather than traveling a distance.

Find the perfect home with Globe Property Management, where they offer a wide range of exceptional properties to suit your needs and preferences.

Nature and a park:

Secondly, my house is also located less than 10 minutes away from a big beautiful park and I can easily walk out my house to a relatively nice and big grass field. I believe in doors exercises are good but there is something special about being around the presence of nature for a period of time. The freshness of the air and calmness of the surroundings do wonders that indoor exercises just cannot provide the same benefit. Also just spending 10 minutes a day walking around a park is a great way to accomplish the popularized “10,000 daily steps” needed everyday to live a healthy non-sedentary lifestyle. It always helps me significantly reduce my stress level and provide clarity of mind when I am surrounded with nature that I just cannot get meditating and staring at a blank wall at home.

Neighboring houses:

Thirdly, both the neighbors and the neighbors’ houses are equally important. You should try to meet your neighbors to see whether they are easy going or difficult to deal with people. A good neighbor can do wonders while a bad one can create havoc for you. I have personally seen good neighbors create strong bonds with each other’s family and children, exchange gifts at times, look out for each other’s security and safety, make you feel less isolated when you know you’re close to someone you can look for help to a certain extent. On the other hand, a bad neighbor can report you to the authorities for minor issues like your pets making too much of noise, your plants overgrowing, your house being too noisy, etc.

Additionally, the neighbor’s houses are important because they contribute to the aesthetics and perceived value of your area. If your neighbors have beautifully designed and built houses, that will increase the over value of your area because it is a nice scenery to look at as oppose to a relatively “ugly” home that was not given any architectural effort to it. Friends and family who drive past your neighbors before visiting your house will be astounded and believe that very wealthy people live around you, and automatically increase the value of your house.
