In a world flooded with beauty products, our choices are wide.  I, Diedra Smith, developed a product that takes the woman’s beauty regimen to another level. This product not only makes you look good, it makes you feel good.  The ingredients in these products pamper your lips, making them feel good and the product is long-lasting.

Without giving too much away, your lips will retain the moisture and sensitivity as when you first applied it. This product will appeal to all women- women of all nationalities and of all ages too.

When you imagine yourself being interviewed, what questions do you imagine answering?

  1. Why did I start working for myself?

     2. What drives me to want to be an Entrepreneur?

    3. Why did I start a Lipstick business?

Please add one to three quotes that can be used by a journalist that represents your story or answers a question.

  1. Do not be afraid of failing, be afraid of never trying

     2. Be you, Be Original

3.Professionalism means marrying the clients need with their wants

Why did you start this business?

It was because of my love of makeup.  I wanted to find a product that felt and looked good on my face.  So, I did the research and found companies that  helped me with my journey.  Hence, I came up with  MDee Beauty and here I am today.

What is your mission?

My mission is to show other women my age, that no matter what age or race you are, no matter what people say, we as women can do anything we want to do.

Describe your offerings Who’s it for/target audience?

We have a variety of lipsticks, matte liquid lipsticks and also lip glosses. I want to target women of all ages and nationalities.

What is the “story/  How is it unique or different?

My story is long. I am an entrepreneur who has several  businesses.  Makeup for me has always been something of a  hobby since I was young.  I realized that beauty comes in different forms and is different in the eye of each beholder. I came to the conclusion that I wanted to help others find the beauty in themselves  When creating this line, I had others in mind who doubted if they were beautiful and not good enough. That however, is not true, we are all beautiful, and definitely good enough.

What do you currently want to promote?

MDee Beauty, I want to  promote my lipstick line.  Consisting of lipsticks, glosses and Matte lip stains

Explain the problem that your product or service solves. How does your target audience solve this problem today?

Right now, the cosmetic market is flooded with various lipsticks. However, my lipsticks feel good when applied because they have no paraben. They contain vitamin E, shea butter and avocado oil.  These ingredients improve the condition of your lips. It keeps the lips smooth and moisturized. My lipsticks are also known to last throughout the day.  These factors cause it to be a product of quality.

When did you start your business?

I started MDee Beauty in October of 2020. My business is based in Delaware.

Did you do anything else before this job?  Do you have another job?

Yes, I own several companies. I have been running 2 other companies since 2009, and one since 2019.  I do not have another job.  I only run my businesses.
