Alexa D’Agostino Shares Her 5 Tips for Starting an Online Business

In an exclusive interview with Alexa D’Agostino,  we were able to gather her best 5 tips for starting an online business. Here is everything Alexa had to say:

“2020 will go down in history like no other year. It has changed the lives of many, if not all, of us. But it hasn’t been all negative. Some people went out there and created their own online businesses they had always dreamed of. It wasn’t that this period was special in any way that made them more motivated to chase their dreams. They simply had no other choice. And, surprisingly, it often turned out it isn’t quite as impossible as they once thought.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to praise the pandemic. Instead, I want to draw your attention to the success stories of people who have left their jobs for a new chapter in their lives – entrepreneurship

It is a situation you might be in right now. You aren’t a fan of your 9-to-5 job, so you want to change it yet aren’t quite sure you have what it takes. Those people, many of whom look much worse than you on paper, have somehow done it all. Here are some things that have allowed them to achieve success.

Have a strong WHY

It is a big change, and if you want to make it to the finish line, you will need to have a strong enough reason behind it. Because of that, your motivation has to go far beyond simply making a quick buck. If financial incentives are the only thing that drives you, it can get shaky, and the reason why most people fail is that they don’t have anything else to support their actions.

What works best here is external motivation which goes beyond your self-interest. This can include helping people closest to you, such as your family, or humans in general, with the product or service you provide that will ultimately change their lives as much as it has changed yours.

The plan

Now that you know WHY it is time to get to HOW. Although the gap between your current life and your dream might seem huge, remember that there will be multiple milestones for you on this journey to get there slowly but steadily.

Many people get discouraged seeing the difference they have to make up for, but the truth is, it isn’t impossible. In fact, you have closed even greater gaps in your life. Every time you learn a new skill, you start with nothing and then slowly build up the courage to go higher and higher up the ladder until you eventually get to the point that once seemed unreachable.

Entrepreneurship is no different. With the right strategy, you can and will get to your goals, but there will be a lot of steps on your way to the top. This journey will be a long one, and you have to be prepared for that, but at the same time, it is one of the best paths you can take.

Start acting

Having clear goals is necessary, but alone it won’t get you anywhere. You need to have a clear plan of how you want to get to each of those milestones and slowly fill up the progress bar of your success. In the Internet era, it isn’t hard to find recourses that will allow you to build the foundations for success. But there is one problem.

The Internet’s biggest advantage is also its biggest curse. The excess of information makes it difficult to find legitimate sources. Because of that, coaches are becoming more and more popular among people who want to change their lives. Their expertise is easy to verify, and they have done everything you want to do, making them a perfect addition to this journey.

Talking business

One thing you have to prepare for is learning. A lot. There are many elements that fall into a thriving business. Your offer, content strategy, and marketing efforts, just to name a few, will all turn you into the perfect image that now only exists in your head.

But nobody will get you to the top, let alone keep you there, without you putting in the work. In the digital world, becoming an entrepreneur has never been easier, but remember that other people have the exact same opportunities you have. The ones who finish first will be those who go through this process in the most efficient way imaginable.

The first step

Even now, with everything laid out, becoming an entrepreneur might still seem like a far-fetched idea for you. It is completely normal to be afraid to take the first step, but that fear should never be strong enough to cripple you completely and take your dreams away from you.

In my career, I have built and sold multiple businesses, starting my first company at 18. I made the mistake of taking the first steps all by myself and now see how much I could have gained if there had been somebody experienced by my side.

So, I have decided to give other entrepreneurs what I missed out on. As a business coach, I have now helped hundreds of people skyrocket their companies and launched a FREE Masterclass to teach you the ins-and-outs of business. It includes lessons on how clarity can help you turn your passion into a 6-figure business, how to create an irresistible offer, easy ways to generate leads without spending a dollar on advertising, and much more to turn your ideas into reality.”
