Published

on

A couple of weeks ago, an interview was held with celebrity fashion designer Masih Zad. Masih’s firm creates beautiful products of art, such as suits and custom made jewelry for the world’s luxury market. Since its inception, Masih’s firm has catered to celebrities like Keanu Reeves, Jack Black, and Jack Nicholson.

During the course of the interview, Masih shared a number of the challenges that he encountered along the way, and he also shared the steps he took in dealing with them. He left behind tips that would prove helpful for anyone embarking on a journey to success.

Below is the conversation;

What’s Your View On Achieving Success As An individual?

To be successful, you should have one mantra, and that is never to give up. I don’t care how bad things get, never let quitting be an option. You should realize that no matter how tired you are, keep pushing till you finally reach the finish line of success.

Make sure you have a clear image of what you want to be and paint that image inside your head, never forget it, and never let it go until you’re at its doorstep. And remember, we all make mistakes, but only a fool keeps repeating the same mistakes and makes sure you never make the same mistake twice.

You should surround yourself with people that will help you to succeed, and you can help them to achieve their goals as well. And most importantly, face down your fears and every day make sure you and your company are growing in every shape way in form.

Thoughts on Entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship is amazing! It is truly a roller coaster ride filled with thrills, chills, spills, and lots of excitement if you do it correctly.

Remember, entrepreneurs risk it all. Sometimes they experience success and other times, failures. But the differentiating factor is how to handle the failures. Instead of letting the failures weigh you down, learn from it, and leverage it to take your business to the next level.

Did you Face Any Obstacles When You Started And How Did You Overcome Them?

There were many obstacles I had to overcome. Let’s start with the first one, which was being a young Designer, just getting my feet wet. I lacked a lot of experience and in a dog eat dog world such as the fashion industry, it took a lot of time for me to find my bearing.

After that, I experienced tons of financial obstacles in the United States of America that I had to deal with. But with all that being said, the Masih Zad line stands tall and proud these days.

It Sure Isn’t Easy Being A Fashion Designer, How Do You Cope With The Stress?

Dealing with the stress may not be easy but when you’re doing something you love, there may be only a little amount of stress. Our customers love us and we love them so that definitely lessens the burden of stress.

And never forget when you are putting the best product that you can create forward you don’t really worry about stress.

What Advice Do You Have For Anyone Just Starting Out In Life?

The best advice I can give someone is;

First, do not be afraid of failure, Second I would say work hard but we all know you have to do that so I would say make sure you make fewer mistakes and learn from them.

Make sure creativity is a massive part of what you’re doing and your product. And no matter what goes wrong, don’t quit.
