Ashlee Krutzfeldt’s AJKPHOTOGRAPHY is Transforming The Male-Dominated Photography Industry

Slightly over ten years ago, Ashlee Krutzfeldt was working as a waitress. She had no ambitions to become a photographer, let alone to become a force in the female fitness photography business. She was just a hardworking girl from a working-class family and just doing what she needed to do to make a living wage.

Fast forward ten years later, Ashlee is now a star photographer. She has worked with some of the biggest female fitness celebrities in the United States. She has also shot cover photos for the biggest online and offline female fitness magazines. Clients now book her months in advance because she is in such high demand, and her client list is filled with some of the most notable female fitness stars, including the likes of Lauren Dascalo, Ana Cheri, and Jessica McKay.

How Ashlee Became A Photographer

Ashlee’s journey to photography started unintentionally. One of her close friends asked her to be the photographer at her wedding, to save costs. And she agreed. The bride-friend expressed amazement at the quality of her work. And this is how Ashlee’s journey into photography stardom commenced.

At first, she used to take on multiple types of photography projects. She used to shoot weddings, family photos, portraits, and so on. However, when she noticed there were very few female photographers in the quite popularized field of female fitness photography, she decided to focus exclusively on the market segment.

She decided to do this because she quickly learned that the women she worked with had expressed how they felt free and very comfortable in her presence. Many confessed to her that they loved working with her because she was a female photographer, and yet more so, that she effortlessly made them look stunning. This is what motivated Ashlee, and it continues to motivate her as she continues to make a name for herself within the female photography industry.

What Made Her A Star Photographer

Over the years, Ashlee has seen herself as a friend, rather than a business person, to female clients who book her photography services. Her friendliness with clients, and her kindness, have seen many clients become repeat clients. Her reputation now actually precedes her!

Moreover, being a great female professional photographer has also attracted many clients to her. Women who are intimidated, or don’t feel comfortable in the nude with male photographers, form a significant part of her clientele base.

The number one thing, however, that distinguishes her from other photographers is her unique style. She has managed to develop a unique style within her photography that is sexy, glamorous, and yet, understated at the same time. Check out some of her work on Instagram (@AJKPhotography1). The style has attracted many magazines and models to collaborate with her, and the resulting publicity is what made her who she is right now.

Her Plans For The Future

Right now, Ashlee is in the process of starting a talent agency with famous people, such as Adam Quinn and Joel. The agency, though based in Los Angeles, it will be garnering girls from everywhere. Her goal in this project is to work with even more women by building a team with which they will be comfortable to work.

There is no doubt in the mind of many people who know her that she will make the agency a success. Furthermore, considering the talent she is working with, success is more likely than it is not. She is definitely here to stay.

Final Thoughts

It is not easy becoming a successful photographer, no less a female photographer. However, Ashlee has done it. She has managed to become successful, especially in an area that is traditionally male-dominated – in the female fitness photography industry. She has achieved this through hard work and by creating her own style. She now hopes to build on her success by starting an agency.
