Boundless Cultivates Customer and Sales Rep Success

Solar sales professionals often say working at Boundless is a breath of fresh air. Boundless CRO Bill Menzel, and co-founders Riley Traveller – CEO, Jay Pelletz – President, Derek Vecchione – COO, and Mark Featherstone – CSO, are on a mission to create the best place to sell solar in the industry.
Bill began working in the solar industry as an installer more than a decade ago. He has worked at nearly every level in the industry from Installations, operational management, large scale portfolio management, sales, sales training, sales leadership and now the Chief Revenue Officer at Boundless. Throughout his career he has fallen more and more in love with the solar industry and what it does for the people in the industry and for homeowners and clients who go solar. Bill has worked at some of the nation’s largest solar companies. While he got incredible experience, he envisioned a transparent organization that placed the highest value on the people doing the work.
When the opportunity to build the sales organization he envisioned presented itself, Bill took a chance and got to work. While he and his co-founders came from different parts of the industry, ultimately Boundless was created for sales people by sales people.
Boundless not only focuses on delivering quality solar products and services, they strive to create an environment where sales professionals can grow their individual businesses and benefit financially from the work they put in. This focus has allowed the company to grow quickly.
Boundless is a residential solar company, but they also specialize in hiring and molding top talent. New hires that come to Boundless work immediately alongside leadership, including Bill and the co-founders. Leaders of Boundless want to see sales reps succeed in ways they never thought possible. They do this through weekly calls, trainings, etc.
The company culture at Boundless is transparent and focused on helping sales reps be their best. Bill works hard to make sure he delivers what the teams need to be better with each day. The Boundless manifesto says, “we do what we say, and we deliver.” The team strives to abide by this, working to lift each other up while helping individuals achieve their goals.
Solar is one of the few products where the business and the customer both financially benefit. Currently approximately 4% of residential homes have solar installed. The Solar Energy Industries Association has a target for solar to account for 30% of US electricity generation by 2030. Boundless currently installs in 30 states and is excited to help the SEIA achieve that target.
In addition to all the great work done by Boundless to save people money and create the ideal workplace, they also donate to the Give Power Foundation. With each new installation, they contribute enough to supply one person in an undeveloped country with clean water and power for 20 years. So far, they have supplied over 7,000 people with electricity and clean water and look forward to providing much more.
Bill has always wanted to do something worthwhile with his life. For him, solar has been the answer. Boundless is working within the solar industry to make it a better place to work, as well as working with the Give Power Foundation to make the world a better place to live.
