Brandon Gardner: a Motivational Speaker About Victim Mentality

Brandon Gardner

A motivational speaker in USA, Brandon Gardner, rescued and ameliorated many lives by speaking on victim mentality.

Life is never smooth for anyone; we all have ups and downs, but a few people never see themselves at fault. According to them, they have no control over anything. Sadly, many people intentionally or unintentionally are living under a victim mentality.

Victim mentality is a gained personality trait that erodes our inner fighter and destroys our personality excellence. People who never take responsibility for their actions or make others accountable for everything have a victim mentality. But it is not a built-in behavior and can be changed.

Why did Brandon Gardner speak about victim mentality?

Public speaker Brandon Gardner served in the police department for ten years, and after that, he became a state-certified trainer in “Dealing with Death” and “Moral Injury to Law Enforcement.” He continued providing education training in quite a few Police Departments. Because of this training and losing a friend to suicide, Brandon Gardner decided to write and speak about victim mentality.

Brandon Gardner, the best keynote speaker in USA, helped many people overcome this trait through his motivational speeches.

In his motivational speeches, he talks about how victim mentality spoils a warrior spirit and takes away personal excellence and the overall negative impact that victim mentality has on a person and how to overcome it. According to Brandon, you can only either be a victim or a victor.

Victim mentality leading to self-defeating behaviour:

While working as a clinical therapist and in emergency services, Brandon Gardner saw many people live in a victim mentality. Victim mentality leads to self-defeating behaviour. This sort of behaviour moves you away from your goal and becomes an unnecessary obstacle for you. If you are trying to achieve anything in life and something you do reduces your chance of reaching that goal, then that is self-defeating behaviour. Self-defeating behaviour includes many factors such as:

  • self-destruction
  • self impeding
  • fear of success
  • procrastination
  • learned helplessness

Brandon’s work in the business sector:

Brandon Gardner also worked in the business sector, where he saw many business people trying to run successful businesses while displaying the same self-defeating behaviour. They would not take up the responsibility for any sort of loss happening to them. As a result, many businesses fail. To be successful in life, owning your mistakes and making up for them is essential. Because according to Brandon Gardner, “Every one of us has an ability to be successful in life”. As a motivational speaker, Brandon says that we all have the potential to impact our society positively, but the choice is ours, whether you want to be a victim or a victor.

He further says that people don’t believe that they have the ability to have a positive influence on our surroundings. But there are always two sides to a story, it’s either you can or you cannot, depending upon your own will.

Brandon Gardner’s goal and passion for eradicating victim mentality:

Brandon’s goal and passion are to help motivate people to move past the victim mentality into the area of personal excellence and success so that they can be a victor and live in victory. Being a public speaker, he has always motivated people through his speeches and diversity of relatable examples. His passion is to help people understand not just the keys to success but also the keys to failure and acceptance. His motivational speeches helped many people make up for their flaws and mistakes. He helped people accept themselves. Brandon also helped people in avoiding wrong trends and misdirections. His passion is to convert victims into powerful leaders and people of significant influence.
