Carson Spitzke Gives His Guidance to Starting An Acting Career With No Experience

Carson Spitzke

Acting is a tough but extremely rewarding, and most importantly, a fun career choice. A lot of people dream to be actors and join the elite of Hollywood A-listers, but the path is not for everybody. This is what actor Carson Spitzke has done as he rose to fame over the past few years. In this article, he details the tips he’d give to anyone looking to start an acting career.

Putting Your Best Foot Forward

Carson has a lot of advice for new actors. He mentions to not “wait for the phone to ring,” and that if you take action “you never know what might happen.” Putting yourself above and beyond the position to succeed, whether that’s building connections with fellow actors and directors are great ways to get started. The other aspect is taking advantage of every possible opportunity, things like showing up early and looking for feedback are great ways to do this.

Take care of your mental health.

Show business is an extremely competitive industry that’s filled with rejection. You can audition dozens of times before receiving a callback, so it’s essential to reinforce your confidence so that you can better handle rejection and criticism about your performance. “When I was looking for my first role I would regularly practice meditation, yoga, and juggle to keep my mind away when times were stressful,” Carson mentioned. Carson also mentioned that If you notice a marked difference in your attitude, sleeping patterns, or eating habits, consider reaching out to a mental health professional for support.
