Women Who Disrupt
Combining Industries To Help Businesses Around The World: Jodi Daniels’ Story

Jodi Daniels has set herself as a leading advisor in the world of privacy. With a background in Finance and extensive experience in strategic advertising and privacy, she has carved out a niche as a business consultant for businesses around the world. Her niche? Privacy compliance. Since launching her consulting company in 2017, Jodi has helped her clients, mainly small to medium businesses (SMB) to perfectly combine their privacy compliance with superior marketing for their clients. Currently, her goal is to draw more attention to the need for privacy practices and how implementing it can help boost revenue and customer satisfaction for businesses in all industries.
Back To Business Basics
At the start of her career, Jodi entered the business world as an accountant at Deloitte, one of the largest global accounting firms. Honing in skills and abilities, but having a career that is needed anywhere, Jodi then moved on to several different companies as an finance professional trying to find the best fit. Landing a job at Cox Enterprises, it shifted Jodi’s career from finance to strategy and advertising. In this position she was able to learn more about privacy regulations and how businesses have to follow specific rules to remain legal. Jodi stayed with Cox for nearly a decade working on strategy, targeted advertising and building a privacy program serving twenty-three privacy brands. She realized the potential that other companies needed data privacy assistance h and how the stigma for privacy being “boring” needed to change.
Breaking Away From Corporate
In 2017 Jodi broke away from working for big corporations, and she began her journey beginning her own privacy company. Jodi wanted her company to be different from other companies, so she emphasized client connection in her projects. Right around the time of her shift, the United States was having to follow a new European Union privacy law (called GDPR), and Jodi noticed how many small and medium companies weren’t fully understanding how to successfully follow the regulations. With her knowledge and experience, she knew she could help SMB that couldn’t have someone work in-house for privacy full time. She dedicated her time and energy into investing into business relationships with SMB. With a focus on simply explaining her services and processes in a way that businesses understand, she is better equipped to have long-lasting relationships with clients.
Building A Future In Business
Jodi’s company is set on breaking the stigma and presuppositions for privacy professional services firms. She sees lawyers as her biggest competitors – not large firms. Lawyers tend to be more personal, one-on-one, and make sure they keep their customers in full compliance with the law. However, Jodi’s company, Red Clover Advisors, not only helps businesses understand privacy regulations, but also helps businesses promote their products better. She has combined her niche privacy approach with her knowledge of the marketing industry to result in a client-focused, marketing and privacy blending business that has helped hundreds of companies around the United States. Jodi is committed to building her company, but also has her eyes set on helping to educate others on the importance of privacy. “Privacy is such an important aspect of building trust with your customer and no matter the size of your business, you should be focused on building privacy into your everyday decisions.” If you are interested in learning more about Jodi’s story, check out her profile or go check out her company’s website.
