DreadFullHippie is a Rising Brand With a Powerful Mission

Ellie & Dallas McGee

Dreadlocks are a bold, fashionable hairstyle that have stood the test of time for decades; however, not everyone is able to naturally achieve such a desirable look. That’s where DreadFullHippie comes in, and thanks to this up-and-coming-brand, achieving dreadlocks is now possible for virtually anyone. The brand and its founders are on a mission to shatter the assumption that only certain individuals can achieve dreadlocks.

Innovative Synthetic Dreadlocks

Founded by Ellie & Dallas McGee in 2016, DreadFullHippie has taken the industry by storm with its handmade, synthetic dreadlocks. DreadFullHippie has curated an unmatched collection of dreadlocks spanning from blondes to gingers, brunettes to grays, and vivid colors to match distinct personas. The brand has truly mastered the art of making synthetic dreadlocks that can be self-installed, washed, and reused for a lifetime. These dreadlock extensions are non-damaging and promote hair growth, while at the same time instilling a sense of self-expression and confidence in its users.

On a Mission to Change Women’s Lives

What truly sets the brand apart aside from the quality of their products is the desire to empower women across the world and build a community of women that are fearless and bold. The brand brings a unique approach to the space, offering something completely new that fulfills a very specific niche. DreadFullHippie aims to unite women and cultures by nurturing an empowered community that brings women out of their comfort zones and inspires them to live comfortably in their own hair. “Dreadlock extensions may seem like a bold choice; however, they uplift confidence levels and make people happy. It lends a feeling of nirvana that only those who sport dreadlocks comprehend,” Ellie McGee explained.

Building, Scaling, and Expanding

Although there are thousands of hair products on the market, DreadFullHippie is not concerned with what their competitors are doing. Ellie McGee shared, “The truth is that the team behind DreadFullHippie spends their time focusing on building a strong community. We don’t focus on what others are doing in the space. It’s an abundant industry with so much room to expand.” DreadFullHippie currently has a 1,500-square-foot warehouse, which now has become too small for their needs. As they begin a significant expansion, Ellie and Dallas are upgrading to a massive, 6,000 square foot warehouse. They currently have over 200,000 TikTok followers and will soon be opening their first storefront in Utah to serve customers on a more personal basis.
