Exclusive Interview With Realtor Cristina Acevedo: Why Kane County Is a “Wonderful Place To Live”

In an exclusive interview with HomeSmart Connect Realtor Cristina Acevedo, we went through why she became a realtor and why Kane County is a great place to live and start a business.

Here’s how the interview went:

It’s great to have you here. Can you please tell us more about yourself and what you do?

“I’m an expert real estate agent with HomeSmart Connect LLC, Kane County, IL, and the nearby area, providing home-buyers and sellers with professional, responsive, and attentive real estate services. Want an agent who’ll listen to what you want in a home? Need an agent who knows how to effectively market your home, so it sells? Give me a call! I’m eager to help and would love to talk to you.”

What is your service area? What are the benefits of working in this area? What are the amazing features of this area that people should know before moving here?

“Kane County is home to a thriving community. Our community is guided by the four driving principles: heritage, community, service, and opportunity. These principles create a thriving environment for people who live and visit here and for businesses to prosper. Many come to explore our historical architecture, unique stores, specialty food shops, and restaurants. You can enjoy the outdoors at a park and walk along the Fox River Bike Trail. If you are interested in history, visit the Geneva History Museum or one of our many Forest Preserves. From breweries to wine tasting to chocolatiers, many of our businesses offer tours and packages. Stop in a day spa with your friends for a pedicure or massage. A short drive west of downtown will bring you to Geneva commons, a retail complex with popular shopping and dining choices in an open-air setting.  Cities in our community have gained national recognition as family-friendly towns and widely acclaimed for their architecture. Located three miles west of Chicago in the scenic Fox River Valley, great schools, great parks, and a high quality of life make Kane County a wonderful place to live or have a business.”

Do you work with a specific type of client or within a specific niche? (Commercial, Investment, First-time Homebuyer, etc.)

“That’s a great question; I primarily work with residential buyers and sellers.”

How is the market performing right now? is it the right time to acquire your services?

“We are in unprecedented times but, the real estate market is hot right now. Buyers are taking advantage of historic low-interest rates and getting more bang for their buck. In comparison, sellers are able to maximize their home value to make their next home purchase or cash out.”

Tell us a little about your personal life? Ex: who do you live with? What are your hobbies? Do you have any pets? Etc.

“I grew up with four sisters in Freeport, IL. In my senior year of high school, we moved to the western suburbs of Chicago. My sisters and I have always stayed connected and are very close. I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, and I absolutely love sushi. I was a server and early childhood teacher before becoming a Realtor. As a realtor, I hope to continue helping families grow and communities improve. I have been involved with fundraising for Mutual Ground, a Shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I have joined in their annual Walk for Hope, which happens in October, for over 14 years, in Aurora.”

What are some pieces of advice that you would give to potential clients looking to buy, sell or invest in your service area?

Real estate is, in many cases, a family’s most significant investment. I take great pride in assisting and guiding individuals in the purchase and sale of their greatest asset. My advice, based on the experience my team and I have, is to trust the process and know we will be there every step of the way.”

“Whether you are selling your home, searching for your next home, or have any questions about the process – I look forward to helping you!” – Cristina Acevedo.
