Tell us about your childhood and where you grew up?
I grew up in Mexico City, in a Lebanese / Mexican home with a strong influence on Lebanese culture. I started to discover the Mexican culture in high school. The food and the school trips to cultural sites were like a new world to me including the first visit to the museum of Frida. It was a very typical field trip to every school in Mexico. I visited the museum several times during my school years. As I got older during my high school years, I had a very conflicted time in México and I decided to move to the state of Colima where my grandmother lived at the time…Colima was near the ocean and I found peace and equilibrium there.
How did you get started as an entrepreneur?
I began my professional experience as a Bering Sea fisherman in 1989. By 1992, I owned a multi-vessel commercial and charter fishing fleet in Alaska. In Alaska, I went on to find Servcom Inc. Servcom was one of the first Internet service providers supplying connectivity for the City of Anchorage, Alaska, and the surrounding areas. Servcom was later sold to an affiliate of AT&T for one million dollars. From 1997 to 1999, I entered the hospitality industry by building a Hotel & Bed and Breakfast in Mexico. In 2001, I purchased a hangar at a regional airport in South Florida and started several aviation enterprises under the name Mobarak Aircraft LLC, which included; Interior design, furniture, and fixtures. In addition, I launched a jet fuel service, a food service under the name Frankie’s Jet Way Café, and a private aircraft leasing company, Air Charter of Florida. I sold this aviation business to Rizzivi, a hedge fund in 1998 for $8.9 million dollars. I owned and operated MAP Universal LLC, the owner and operator of Cía Minera Dorosa, S.A. de C.V in Mexico City, Mexico. Cía Minera Dorosa is a development stage silver mine project in the process of mining silver for delivery to larger mineral resource companies. Since the acquisition of the mining claim in 2009, we introduced access to the infrastructure such as electrical power, water supply, mining equipment, and a laboratory facility capable of processing 400 tons of ore per day. Now, I own AgCoin, the first Silver Crypto investment company. AGCoin is the first crypto platform to invest in Silver. It is the next-generation precious metal tokenization model with continuous access to liquidity and availability. Creating a silver-backed tokenomy while tokenizing vault deposits, AGC not only attempts to produce innovative solutions that address customers’ needs but also provides consistent support. Lastly, very recently I created a project that is very dear and near to my heart, because of my daughter. I created FRIDA.NFT,a pioneering innovative blockchain technology reforming the charity industry to increase transparency, donation frequency, and donor incentive. FRIDA.NFT creates the bridge between the traditional art world and the expanding potential of Web 3.0. This community-driven initiative has the vision to introduce Frida’s work into the metaverse and leverage her powerful likeness to bring together a community of collectors, creators, and art lovers on a mission to merge the traditional art world with digital art world’s expanding potential and immortalize humanities story. Like a Phoenix rising from its ashes, this collection of 10,000 NFTs represents the rebirth & immortality of a timeless piece by Frida Kahlo”, Fantasmones Siniestros. This piece will be transformed to live eternally in the digital realm on July 29th, 2022, in Miami, FL. Our mission is to create a consistent donation stream to charities near & dear to our hearts while rewarding those willing to embark on this journey with us, from the museums to the Metaverse.
What is one business lesson you would tell a startup founder?
