From The Bank To Your Mortgage: Barbara Xenakis

When looking for the right help with their mortgage process, you might have trouble finding a broker partner with the right combination of primary and secondary/alternative lender knowledge. This isn’t a common trait of brokers, as not all of them will know how a bank works vis a vis other lender contacts. A broker who knows about both is more likely able to provide an array of strategies that fit your unique, complex situation and needs, and get you the right rate for a mortgage. So, where can you find a broker with insider education on banks AND alternative lenders? We’ll tell you.

Toronto-based Barbara Xenakis is a veteran mortgage broker with Mortgage Alliance, one of the most reputable mortgage agencies in Canada. She was originally a banker, but became attracted to the independence of the mortgage industry, and decided a career shift was in order. “I was working in the banking industry and met one of the mortgage brokers that my bank was working with and realized that this was a field I could adapt to.”

Barbara completed the profession change 5 years ago. Since then, her intimate knowledge of banks, talent in finances, and drive to deliver only the best results for her clients has put her in a prime position to be YOUR broker of choice.

We approached Barbara herself for some information on how she approaches her work, and she had this to share: “I assist clients with financing purchase or refinance properties. Every client has different needs and I learned how to adapt and handle each situation on an individual basis. There is a wide variety of mortgage solutions that could be tailored to each individual’s specific situation, allowing me to seek out multiple lenders that suit the client’s criteria. This mortgage and financial knowledge is a special blend of education that allows me to help clients make the most out of one of the biggest investments they’re going to make in their lives, and enrich their ability to build wealth for themselves.”

Barbara further shared her thoughts on what separated her brand of mortgage services from her competitors, telling us “I put my all into the service of my clients. I am available at all times, no matter how small their question or concern. I genuinely care for each client individually, and I show that by being honest and transparent, and allocating my time appropriately. My main mission is to provide an experience that is hassle-free and results that exceed expectations.”

Sky’s the limit for the The Toronto broker, who tells us she intends to “generate more business in the future” by expanding her client base and increasing referrals, along with retaining existing clients for repeat servicing. To do that, Barbara knows that she needs to consistently make good on her promises of success to her clients. She accomplishes this by being trustworthy, honest, and transparent above all else, so her clients can decide for themselves if she’s right for them. In her own words, “you can trust me to handle the financing of your home without having the need to look further.”

In the end, her many successfully closed mortgages and dozens of satisfied clients are testament to her upholding the promise of quality service, results, and experience. The shift from banker to mortgage agent couldn’t have been the easiest thing to do, but Barbara makes it look like she was meant for it all her life, and she wants to prove it to her clients. If you need help successfully obtaining your mortgage and building financial freedom, connect with Barbara and let her prove to you that her switch from the bank to your mortgage is all part of the plan.
