Giulia Isabella Pintea Talks About Transforming Young Lives Through Prim Princess

Giulia Isabella Pintea is a young entrepreneur, who has gained attention for her path-breaking work towards empowering young women. Her brand Prim Princess was established in 2020. Through her efforts, Giulia Isabella aims towards creating a positive dialogue towards uplifting young women.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur at such a young age?

Throughout my time as a full-time Ph.D. student, I went through a period of self-discovery. I love research, but over time I realized that I was not waking up each morning thinking to myself, “Wow, I love where I am and the direction I am going in. I am happy and every day I am exhilarated to get to work.” As time passed, I started believing that something was off. I wanted to find a hobby that made me feel fulfilled and excited to wake up every morning.

One day, I ran into an advertisement for a free master class hosted by Spectacular Smith. I was intrigued by it, so I went ahead and signed up. The class was, in essence, a sneak peek at his Spectacular Academy, which teaches students about marketing strategies, branding, and so much more. Outside of the content of the class itself, listening to Spectacular speak was truly inspiring. It was a sort of a “wake up” moment, where suddenly I could see that I had the power within me to do anything I wanted in life.

As a result, I enrolled for Spectacular Academy, and I have been learning a great deal from his modules. It is genuinely exciting for me to do this every day, and I am constantly looking forward to what I am going to learn the next day.

We would love to know the various verticals of your business. How does your brand work?

My partner and co-founder, Eric Montoya, is the current CEO of Prim Princess. As an international student, I am extremely limited, and thus cannot be involved with my brand’s operations. As a result, Eric oversees virtually all operations of the business. When Eric and I founded Prim Princess together, we shared the same vision for the brand, and we ensured that we were on the same page across the board.

What comprises your daily schedule? How do you juggle between working on your thesis and managing your brand?

My day-to-day schedule is certainly busy, yet highly planned out. I am the most productive in the morning, so I wake up early every day to get my most important tasks out of the way. My graduate duties take up the vast majority of my day-to-day life (i.e., research, homework, preparing teaching materials, classes, meetings). Although I cannot be directly involved with my brand’s operations, Eric and I meet to check in on how things are going on the marketing front. Since I am enrolled in Spectacular Academy, I also use these meetings to tell Eric what modifications I recommend he implements in the business.

In these times, when brands majorly utilize the power of social media to ramp up their business, what strategies do you keep in mind to make your brand stand out?

Solid, consistent branding and high-value, authentic content go hand in hand. Eric and I both agree that social media will not work for a brand unless we release consistent, on-brand content on our social media. The amount of value you offer to your audience or niche is extremely important as well, and it gives people more of a reason to keep up in touch with your brand. Finally, momentum is key. Once the content is released regularly, it cannot stop; otherwise, you risk losing engagement from your audience.

What is your mantra for success?

Your mindset is your most powerful asset. When you start believing in yourself, the possibilities are limitless, and suddenly, you start to see that your dreams are attainable. Once you recognize that your potential is endless, it changes everything. It changes the way you think, how you act, and how you carry yourself.

What is your take on women’s empowerment? In the upcoming years, how would you like to contribute to society, especially women?

Women empowerment creates a chain reaction. When one woman is empowered, that woman will empower another, and so on. I think that this chain reaction we create is crucial to cultivate strength, passion, and ambition in the women of tomorrow.

In the future, I want to contribute to society through my brand and my research. Outside of promoting confidence in young girls, Prim Princess also donates a portion of all proceeds to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Our goal for 2021 is to raise a minimum of $1M for the NCMEC, which will help save kids from sex trafficking and reunite missing children with their families. Furthermore, as a researcher, I want to continue mentoring women in STEM and speaking at conference keynotes and panels.

Where do you see yourself and your brand in the upcoming months?

For my brand, I see new connections, opportunities, networking events, and more exposure to the public. I see Prim Princess landing more collaborations, releasing new products and designs, and even hosting a giveaway!

As for myself, I see growth, both emotionally and mentally. I see more self-love, healthier habits, self-discipline. I expect obstacles along the way, regardless of what I do, but I guarantee that I will overcome anything that gets in my way.

How can our audience connect with you?

You can connect with me on LinkedIn! Shoot me a message, I’ll be happy to connect with you.
