GoCoffeeGo: Soothing, Satisfying and Delivered, Fresh Roasted, to Your Doorstep

Ah, coffee.

The drip and the sip. The aroma. The mornings. The mid-afternoon pick-me ups. The lazy Sundays where time is measured in cups of caffeinated salvation, rather than obligations on a calendar.

Dearest coffee, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

If you’re talking numbers and coffee and you’re Elise Papazian, co-founder of GoCoffeeGo.com, then let’s start with 5 million. That’s how many customers GoCoffeeGo.com has served as the first online specialty coffee marketplace of its kind.

And with so many coffee drinkers out there, the stakes are high when it comes to crafting the perfect cup and delivering it to your discerning, coffee-drinking customer base.

According to the National Coffee Association USA:

  • Seven in 10 Americans drink coffee every week; 62 percent drink coffee every day.
  • The average American coffee drinker drinks just over 3 cups per day.
  • Nearly 60 percent of coffee served in the United States is ‘gourmet’—brewed from premium beans.
  • Medium Roast is America’s favorite.  The West Coast leads on gourmet coffee consumption and cold brew is nearly 50 per cent more popular there than in the South.

But as far as GoCoffeeGo.com is concerned, you can forget about that to-go cup grabbed in haste, as you make a mad dash to your next meeting. Founded in 2008, this company makes rare, exotic and unique roasts available through an easy-to-use website. This coffee is not just coffee. This coffee demands attention and is cultivated to be anticipated, enjoyed and appreciated.

“Dedicated to a lifelong pursuit of knowledge in all things coffee, co-founders Scott Pritikin and Elise Papazian traveled to the farthest reaches of the globe, learning every facet of the magical bean, from seed to cup,” reads the company website. “This dedication motivates GoCoffeeGo today to educate others into becoming lifelong coffee aficionados…All because life is too short for mediocre coffee!”

GoCoffeeGo.com offers thousands of types of coffee, from nearly three dozen roasters, along with a range of light-to-dark roasts, from seven regions of the world, including:

  • Central America
  • South America
  • Indonesia
  • Africa
  • Hawaii
  • Jamaica and the Caribbean
  • Asia

GoCoffeeGo.com also offers a selection of teas; and bulk coffee for the workplace.

A coffee industry pioneer, Elise’s passion for all things coffee began to percolate at age 16, while she was working as a barista at a Parisian-style café. Inspired by the many nuances and varietals of coffee, she spent years traveling to 26 countries, learning as much as she could about coffee.

Back home in the U.S., she took a job selling exotic beans in the early days of specialty coffee. Elise and fellow coffee aficionado-turned-future husband, Scott Pritikin, co-founded GoCoffeeGo in San Francisco. The idea first emerged from a discussion held over cappuccinos in a London café.

The rest, as any coffee aficionado might say, is roasting, brewing, sipping and aromatic history.

“We are the ultimate destination to buy coffee online from top award-winning roasters in the U.S.A.,” Elise said. “Everything is roasted to order and shipped on the same day, direct, from the roaster to you. This is the way coffee was meant to taste.”
