Hardships faced by Claudia
Everyone has ups and downs on their journey. Stopping in the face of hardship wasn’t an option for Claudia. She was told she was the wrong gender to be a foreign correspondent, too old to start a family, and that retreats for mothers and children wouldn’t make money. Claudia overcame all of those blocks and is an entrepreneurial mother who refuses to fit into a traditional ‘quiet wife’ role. In fact her refusal to fit into that box led to her husband throwing her out of the family home. Claudia is now an advocate for domestic and psychological abuse.

“Here’s my vision: I believe we have to shift our focus to women and children to create the social change needed in society and to completely reset our systems. I believe one billion of us have to step into leadership and entrepreneurship, for us to get us into a better place on the planet,” Claudia says.
