How Award Winning SyleNations Founder Daniella Menachemson Balances Success as an Entrepreneur

When Daniella Menachemson founded her company StyleNations almost 3 years ago she knew it was going to come with its challenges. The Dallas-based custom furniture company specializes in designing, sourcing, and manufacturing bespoke furniture for hospitality and leisure venues. Daniella was moving to a new country in a very crowded market. However, she did not let that hold her back from finding success in business. She has a passion for hotel design which she has been involved with for the last 17+ years. Taking her past experience and providing impeccable design services to companies has paid off. Some brands that she has worked with include Marriott Hotels, Wework, Chopt, Punch Bowl Social, Ritz Carlton and MGM to name a few. She now has over 12 employees and continues to grow across the world. She was even recently nominated for a Gold Stevie Award in 2022 for Top American Business in Hospitality.
Any Specific Tips for Success?
She understands the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. That is why she is a part of organizations like EO (Entrepreneur’s Organization) where she can learn from peers about what is working for them. “Being around like-minded successful entrepreneurs is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. I want to know what mistakes they made and how they overcame them. I am inspired by people who are even more successful and want to win just like me.”
She mentioned how important it is to having the right process and procedures keeps the business functioning even is she is not there. Sometimes Daniella has to travel for meetings or conferences and having the right team that can keep the business running is super important. Makings sure that each employee feels empowered to make decisions as well as feeling cherished and embraced creates a good working environment.
She knows that in order to grow your business you must be able to not get caught up with the mundane day to day tasks and focus on higher level strategy. She was recently interviewed for Fox 5 in San Diego and described this process. There are different systems you can use to help run your business like EOS or Scaling up. This will help teach you how to manage your team and business to get you in a place to be able to only focus on the large most important tasks.
What is next for Daniella?
Daniella sees there is a bright future for the hospitality industry in what many are calling Web3 or the Metaverse. She wants to be at the forefront of technology and how this can positively impact her company. She sees the power of a virtual world where “design teams can work on prototypes without being even in the same country. Entrepreneurs are presented with a cost-effective solution to creating beautiful spaces that speak exactly to their brand.”
