“The time in your life to really find what you want to do moving forward in life, so you should rebel a little”
Perfect time in your life to figure out the next steps in your career. Most college students have a clear vision on what their goals are while the vast majority are still trying to find both themselves and their passion while going through college life. For many students that are still looking for guidance, celebrity creative director, Bagio White, say “don’t fear or panic” as he explains that this is a pivotal time to explore your options.
Celebrity creative director and Editor-In-chief of DOPENESS magazine, Bagio White started is career from the comfort of his dorm room. While attending college Bagio created his iconic magazine DOPENESS purely on instinct. White was studying architecture at the time of the birth of his company where he said the timing for it all was too perfect.
“I remember I was just sitting in my dorm room and I remember I was watching Jersey Shore and I said to myself…I could definitely create a dope magazine cover with them, that would be dope! And from that point, I decided that’s exactly what I’m gonna do and I even manage to call it DOPENESS” Bagio stated earlier in an interview
White has creative directed and designed editorials for a slew of well-known celebrities and public figures in the industry, and he also garnered an impression number of fans on social media, having over 100k followers on Instagram alone. White has worked with acts such as Tinashe, King Bach, Amanda Cerny, Bow Wow, Cierra Ramirez, August Alsina and more. White stated that when he first created his magazine in college it was more of an experiment at the time, and the best decision he made during his college lifespan. White said it was a very important time for him because even though he was studying to be an architect his passion was designing and creative directing. White goes on to stress the importance of exploring and getting out of your comfort zone in college.
“College, to me, is a very important time in your life because just because you initially went to study a particular field doesn’t necessarily mean that the study going to leave with [laughs], you have to break out when you college its not just about studies your also there to find yourself and find what you love to do, so everyone in college should explore their options you never know what field of study you’ll fall in love with of if like me, you’ll find how to create your own path” – stated to The Tab!
