How Cozy Turtle RV Is Disrupting The Vacation Rental Space

Adam Mitchell Cozy Turtle RV Disrupt Magazine

When it comes to choosing the perfect vacation rental, many adventure seekers and campers often find themselves scrolling through a mirage of RVShare or Outdoorsy listings. They often have to negotiate pricing or communicate with a different host on each rental they look at. Adam Mitchell of Cozy Turtle RV aims to change that dialogue, through a central hub for all your RV Vacation Rental needs.

An Elevated Experience

Cozy Turtle RV is giving a breath of fresh air to the RV Rental space and instilling a sense of hospitality in every single rental. When it comes to vacation rentals, it’s often a hit or miss on having a quality place to stay, clean from the prior renter. With a growing fleet of RVs available for rent, they are becoming one of the best choices for RV rentals in Myrtle Beach.

“We are creating an elevated experience,” said Adam Mitchell of Cozy Turtle RV. Finally, you don’t have to be an experienced camper to have a good time. “We help first-time renters by taking the stress out of renting and hauling an RV or even driving one.”

With free delivery available to every Myrtle Beach campground up to 50 miles, they are taking hospitality to a new level. Now anyone can experience the thrills of camping near the beach in a Cozy RV without the stress of having to drive it, ensuring the quality of the delivery and consistency in their approach to the customer experience. You do what you’re there to do – vacation.

Each renter gets a hands-on walk-through of all the nuances of trailer rental, leaving them equipped to handle anything that may come up, as well as how to use everything provided to them. They take it another step further by offering a standard issue of items. It’s all about the experience and they deliver on that with the comforts of home like a toaster, ice-maker, and coffee maker.

Creating Cozy Turtle RV Rentals

A serial entrepreneur by trade, Adam Mitchell is not new to starting and scaling businesses. In early 2012 he started his first company in the Security Consulting space, Global Solutions, and later expanded into HR Consulting and Payroll Services by 2018 with the addition of a new business partner.

From there, he always wanted to diversify his business portfolio and “get into real estate” but never did he think during his move to Myrtle Beach during COVID, that he would be starting an RV Rental Company in March 2021.

He originally purchased his first RV for personal use while living in Virginia back in February 2020, but instantly saw the business opportunity that was lying right in front of him when he started exploring other RV Rental platforms he now competes with in the space. That same camper, now their flagship RV named Big Cougar has homed dozens of families from all over the country coming to experience Myrtle Beach.

“Within 3 weeks of exploring the RV Rental space, I had 12 bookings and they kept rolling in, so I started looking into it more,” says Adam. “Nobody else was tackling the online side of reservations the way we are, so we knew we had to create it.”

The problem with not having an online presence is that renters often don’t have the ability to view rental options prior to booking and seeing it in person. Cozy Turtle RV changes that landscape by providing one place to see a number of listings all from the same vendor. Finally, there’s one place to go, one company to trust.

“I believe COVID made camping more popular since it is easier to social distance and be outside, keep the masks off, and still see and spend time with loved ones,” said Adam.

Advice For Your Next RV Rental or Purchase

If you have been considering buying an RV, rent one first. Lean on an RV rental to help you learn and understand what goes into operating one. Try out multiple types to learn what you like and don’t like about different brands and layouts. Never go buy one without testing the waters first. This life is not for everyone, but a rental is a perfect way to figure out if it is for you.

Cozy Turtle RV is not only providing a service but is also a resource and are happy to refer to partners supporting Cozy Turtle to help too.

If you have never camped before but want some of the luxuries of home still, renting an RV is the way to go instead of traditional camping in a tent especially on the hot summer days. It provides a different experience that is more relaxing and satisfying than staying in a stuffy hotel.

So What’s Next?

The camping industry has exploded under COVID. It is easy to social distance, still enjoy the beach and outdoors, and not have to worry about bumping elbows with people you don’t know in cramped hotels. It is cheaper than many of the top resorts in the area and many campgrounds themselves have similar amenities and fun for the whole family.

Cozy Turtle RV started off with one trailer and a mission to change the RV Rental Space for good – providing families of all budgets a way to explore the beauty that Myrtle Beach has to offer from an unconventional short-term rental experience.

With an active fleet of 7 RVs now and more already on the way, there is no stopping this behemoth to be.

“We already have reservations starting to come in for November 2022,” Adam told us. “And we expect to continue to expand our styles and designs. We plan to offer destination rentals as well where we can offer stationary units by partnering with local campgrounds as well.”

Whether you’ve been camping on the beach or not, you have to give RV Camping at the beach a try. It’s a new experience and one that could change your vision of a vacation forever.
