Jade Mills helps Hollywood find their dream homes. With a client list that features stars of the silver screen, business leaders, tech giants, and a veritable who’s-who of the Southern California scene, this former waitress has ascended to the top of one of the world’s most competitive real estate markets with one simple mantra: put your clients first. “My main goal is to look out for my clients,” Jade explains. “I make sure they are making a good purchase and not doing anything that will hurt them later on. One of my favorite parts of my job is my clients telling me 20 years later how happy they are in their home.”

While that type of long-term contact may seem unusual, it’s exactly the mindset and commitment that has vaulted Jade to the number one real estate agent in California and number three in the world. With over half a billion dollars in real estate sales in 2020 and $6 billion total in her career (a property list that features three of the top record-setting sales in Los Angeles, including the Playboy Mansion), Jade stands at the top of her profession precisely because she stays true to the ideals she held at the bottom. As a single mother looking to establish herself in the male-dominated luxury real estate market, Jade knew the importance of reputation and relationships, so she set out to know more and work harder than anyone else, always putting her clients’ needs at the forefront. “In my business, clients expect you to always be available. I always answer my phone,” she says. “You never know who is calling. You never know when a deal might happen. If I don’t answer, someone else may.”

This dedication stretches throughout Jade’s professional career and personal life. Her four children all have their real estate licenses, her husband manages her marketing, and she has had the same assistant for more than 15 years. That loyalty and focus on relationship building has led her to serving as International Ambassador for her agency and co-Chairman of the International Luxury Alliance, a network of the top 100 real estate agents in the world. “Relationships,” Jade begins when asked about the key to her continued growth. “I always say be nice to everyone. Be a good person and it will always come back around. Talk to everyone. Never be afraid to have a conversation.”
