How La’Marqus Collins is Bringing an Elite Yet Hip Experience to Gym Goers Across America

How La’Marqus Collins is Bringing an Elite Yet Hip Experience to Gym Goers Across America

La’Marqus Collins opened his first SmakkFitness gym, a VIP membership luxury gym, to cater to people that desired privacy and style. His idea has been such a success that the company is expanding from one location in Wilmington, Delaware, to a second in Las Vegas, Nevada. With A-list clients, top trainers in the area and bling SmakkFitness delivers on its promise of a truly unique gym experience.

About SmakkFitness

As a sportsman himself looking for an elite experience, La’Marqus realized there were very few choices in his area. He could go to one of the franchises for a cookie-cutter experience or sign up at a fitness club with amenities he didn’t want to use. So he took the reins into his own hands and opened up SmakkFitness.

He worked to attract top trainers in the area by allowing them to market themselves while working at his gym, in addition to taking care of everything behind the scenes. So trainers pay a small fee to train clients, and there are no additional tasks required of them like cleaning or keeping books outside of their own business.

This plan attracted hot Delaware trainers, including Monique of ReadySetFit. The clientele list is up there, too, with a Philadelphia Eagles player and up-and-coming DJ, DJ Bran.

SmakkFitness is located on 410 N. Market St.; the glass-encased building shimmers in the sunlight, catching shoppers’ eyes as they watch elite athletes and clientele enter the building to get their sweat on. Inside the building, guests are met with luxurious accents all the way down to the floors.

But his vision didn’t stop there; he plans to continue to add details like black marble floors with an inlaid logo and golden equipment to make every gym goer feel like royalty. In addition to his gyms, La’Marqus also launched a website, soon to be rebranded to Smakkletics in response to the pandemic.

About Smakkletics

When the pandemic struck, and gyms everywhere closed, La’Marqus saw that people needed a way to purchase equipment and other workout items they could use at home. So he put together a collection of his favorite products and launched Smakkletics.

Smakkletics products will soon also be available in Smakkletics stores next to his SmakkFitness gyms. The website currently offers in-home equipment like a 9-in-1 pushup board, nifty resistance bands, yoga training rings, pilates pillows and much more. There is also a wide selection of women’s and men’s clothing and a smartwatch fitness tracker.

About La’Marqus Collins

La’Marqus was a basketball star in Italy and experienced a serious injury that forced him to change careers. He had always loved sports, fitness and training and made the decision to open the first SmakkFitness.

He envisioned a first-class but cool place that like-minded people could feel good about visiting. After finding the venue, he set up shop, and, with the exception of a small setback during the pandemic, has been successful ever since.

You can find the original SmakkFitness in Wilmington, Delaware; the new Las Vegas location is projected to open in the next year. Follow the SmakkFit Facebook page for updates. If you are in the Wilmington area and looking for an upscale gym experience, get in touch with SmakkFit today! You can also visit the Smakkletics website for trendy apparel and equipment.
