How Personal & Professional Leadership Coach, Luna Isbell-Love Found The Alignment Necessary to Lead

“No hacks, only choices” is something entrepreneur and Leadership Mentor, Luna Isbell-Love, recently shared with her Instagram audience, and she’s learned this the hard way in her own life. It’s the culmination of daily choices in our thoughts, words, and actions that either lead us to a life of alignment or misalignment. With each choice there’s a space for reflection and refinement, this is something that’s gotten Luna where she is today.

Cultivate Awareness

Today Luna, 35, owns a home with her husband and runs a successful 10 year old leadership business in Austin, TX but it took a lot for her to get there. In her mid-twenties Luna took inventory of her life. She found herself with a well-paying job, a beautiful apartment on the beach in California, a lot of creative ideas that kept her busy, an addiction issue, a long list of unsuccessful relationships, a bunch of apathy, and a glimmer of hope.

She was going through the motions but had been checked out of her own life for quite some time.

For a decade she had been avoiding a pain she didn’t want to feel, a grief from a loss no one wants a child to experience, the death of her mother. In that moment of inventory she realized that she had been unhappy for a long time, and that it was her own choices that got her to this place.

This was the key, “I realized if I wanted to find meaning or happiness that I had to choose different choices. I realized that I could no longer blame ‘the world’ or others for where I was at, I had to own it” Luna shared.

Make Congruent Choices

After that moment Luna put her two-weeks notice in at her job, let go of her home, stopped hanging out at bars with other people who were just as lost as her, broke up with her boyfriend, got sober and make some serious life changes that swung the pendulum of her trajectory towards something more nourishing.

That moment of awareness that she had the ability to create a better life for herself through the power of choice-making got her out of a deep hole, and unknowingly at the time, set her up for a long road ahead of leadership. After years of learning, growing, healing and training, people started to come to Luna for coaching, without even having an existing practice. And so by popular demand, she created one.

It’s the willingness to choose the hard thing that Luna bases her work with CEOs and entrepreneurs on. She believes the success of one’s business requires them to step into the maturity of self-responsibility and get out of the “I can’t” energy of the helpless child waiting for someone to come save them.

Sometimes doing the right thing is hard, but as Luna encourages her clients and program participants, “Yes, it’s hard, but you can do hard things.”

Lead a Life of Alignment

Today Luna commits to a path of Alignment. That doesn’t mean everything is perfect or she doesn’t fall off track, but it’s her commitment to choosing to return and be humble, she tells us, “is my anchor, it’s the root of everything that’s thriving in my life: business, community, relationships.

She currently leads clients through Branding and Business Strategy Catalyst Sessions and her 7th Annual 6-month Muse Mastermind for women entrepreneurs begins mid-June 2021.

Her Muse Mastermind is an embodiment-focused strategic initiative that supports soulful entrepreneurs to clarify, define, and structure their current business and creative projects while being shaped into the leaders they came here to be.
