How Yung Anoma1y Is Generating A Massive Following

There are two categories of musicians. The first category is the world-famous types who travel the world and showcase their luxurious lifestyles. The second category is independent artists.
Disrupt has covered the artist that smash the charts like Laci Key.
Independent artists are fast dominating the music industry. In 2018, the artists generated $643 million. This was a 35% increase from the previous years.
The growth of independent artists has triggered seismic changes as the artist offers fresh content that appeals to the audience. Thanks to the efforts of independent artists, most listeners have a diverse kind of music. Despite this positive vibe, independent artists face huge obstacles. The main obstacles are a lack of support and poor earning from their music.
Yung Anoma1y At A Glance
Yet, one artist, Yung Anoma1y has managed to wither out the storms and establish his own label.
Yung Anoma1y is a talented artist in the Hip hop/Rap category. The artist has been generating quite a massive following due to the freshness of his music. When you listen to his songs, one of the first things that you will notice is that his music has meaningful lyrics.
“There is a melodic aspect to my composers that help piece together a song. While listening to my songs you will be able to bop your head while retrieving a message. Listeners have told me they can relate to the lyrics,”
Some of the artist’s critics have said that the artist’s approach to music is New Generation. But Yung insists that the difference between his Hip hop/Rap music and other songs in the same genre is the cause behind the music.
“The cause behind my music was simply not being able to sleep at night. Things were weighing heavy on my mind and heart until I wrote my first song Yung Anoma1y- I Pray. This was the beginning of becoming mentally free,”
Recently, Yung formed the B.E.G. The Label, The intent of the label is to provide artist support in the music industry. One of the things that the artist realized is that the secret to success in the industry is passion. If he did not have this passion from within, then he would have never made it. Yung also attributes his success to his mentor Angela Davis. The B.E.G. The Label was launched on March 16th, 2020. The creation of this label was a team effort.
“The hard-working individuals who play their roles with enthusiasm and dedication are the reason for the label’s success and the growth of me as an artist,”
Disrupting The Music Industry
B.E.G. The Label aims to help artists solve the issue of support. It is difficult for an upcoming artist to get support in the niche. Yung is no stranger to this lack of support. He recalls that when he started out, no one in the music industry wanted to mentor him or help him out.
“You will learn early on that not a lot of people are just willing to give out information. This can be discouraging to an individual who does not know the complex music industry,”
How did Yung overcome this mindset? The artist overcame the lack of support by reminding himself that no one owes him anything. He convinced himself that he must work for his success, and he did so by dedicating 12 hours a day to his music. Of course, there were some trials and errors. However, the failures were a lesson and those failures played a great role in molding him to the successful artist that he is today.
Yung believes that talent played a major role in his achievements. This talent is what enabled him to prosper in his creative freedom. Aside from talent, the artist also attributes his success to education.
“I was born with the tools that made me a creative person then my college education at Buffalo State College in the Creative Studies Program allowed me to become a more refined creative person,”
The B.E.G. The Label motto is :
“B.E.G.The Label, where creativity prospers,”
This label promises to be a disruptor in the industry. This is because B.E.G. The Label prioritizes quality content. That is content that communicates passion and purpose. The artist advises upcoming musicians to:
“Remember no one is going to have more passion and drive for your idea than you. It is ok if you must work triple times as hard.”
