In A Groundbreaking Move, YANY Beauty Becomes First Black Beauty Company to Develop NFTs

With the debut of NFT, the inclusive cosmetics and skin care brand enters the hasty waters of technology.

When it comes to their cosmetics, health, and beauty products, YANY Beauty places a high value on diversity and inclusiveness in the manufacturing process, all while keeping their prices competitive. As the first black-owned cosmetics firm to introduce an NFT, the YANY Crypto Beauties have gone live on the OpenSea marketplace, establishing a reputation for themselves in the industry. Being one of the first beauty brands with an NFT collection will elevate the brand by giving consumers a unique opportunity to interact with them in a new and exciting way. With the explosion of crypto and NFTs, YANY can reach consumers who would not normally be on our or their radar and start to become more of a household name on and offline. YANY founder, Yaminah Childress says, “We have tapped into a new audience with our NFT collection. Even consumers who are not into makeup per se, are excited about owning a unique piece of the YANY Beauty collection.”

Buyers can choose from a random selection of 1,000 ‘Bad Ass Beauties’ defined by striking beauty, hand-designed embellishments, and unlimited functionality. Along with the YANY Crypto Beauty NFT, customers will get the following additional benefits.

  • An actual skin care product order that will be delivered to their home
  • Offer to join the Discord member-only chat
  • Access to forthcoming virtual beauty events only available to subscribers

Because of the decentralized nature of Web3 technology, YANY Beauty hopes to build a closer bond with their clients through NFT’s entrance into the flexible Web3 environment. The launch of their NFT is only the latest of their long list of accomplishments that make YANY one of the most innovative brands emerging in beauty.

Founder Yaminah Childress doesn’t want YANY to be confined to one space. She believes in keeping up with the times, but also being a forward thinker when it comes to business and the beauty industry. Childress thinks that going into tech and creating the NFT collection is a great way to offer customers something new and exciting and to be ready for what’s to come in beauty and tech.

So, you may be wondering what’s next for YANY and tech? Childress says, following the NFT collection, the brand’s plan is to go into the Metaverse with a virtual YANY Beauty Boutique and create an app where they can interact with their tech-savvy beauty lovers.
