Innovative Senior Consultants are Revolutionizing the Senior Care Industry

Just as the seasons change is a natural process, so is the aging of our population. In fact, over a million individuals turn 65 every day.  As the number of senior citizens increases, so do their needs. As it stands, the gap between the rapidly growing number of seniors and quality providers and assisted living facilities is widening at a neck breaking pace.

To put it into perspective, there is a predicted 75% increase in the need of senior care providers over the next 10 years due to the Baby Boomers. This phenomenon has been called the Silver Tsunami, and with it flows a lucrative wave of possibility for forward thinkers and action takers.

Eshonda Blue and Jessica Wright are two healthcare workers and sisters who came to this realization after taking care of their beloved grandmother, who did not want to be at the mercy of a nursing home. They knew their situation was far from unique and wanted to create a solution for families and the senior care industry as a whole. With over 20 years of experience in long-term care, touching nearly every aspect of the industry, the pair combined their amassed wealth of knowledge and leadership skills to create Innovative Senior Solutions in 2007.

The ambitious pair plan to do just as their name suggests; innovate. “We have personally committed a lifelong devotion to the care of the elderly. We truly strive to make a difference in not only the lives of our clients, but in their families, the direct care staff, as well as the communities we serve.”

Innovative Senior Solutions, or ISS, became the first licensed home care provider in Sumter County, Georgia, and a licensed Medicaid provider in 2008. The founders continued their training through various programs. This included study at the Ivy League University, Tuck School of Business, and in 2016, participated in the Georgia Mentor Protege’ Program, where they received personalized business and leadership coaching from a Fortune 500 company.

Blue and Wright applied each skill they learned to grow and expand their business, network, and impact in the lives of older adults in the community. Their success was evident as they started, grew, and sold a profitable in-home senior care business in 2019 for over a million dollars. “As we have built and sold one company in the senior care space, we are establishing ourselves as the one-stop shop for all things healthcare and senior care business, for those desiring to leverage the growth of the industry,” they shared.

Under the leadership of the sisters, Innovative Senior Solutions evolved from a home care agency, to a company focusing on innovative approaches to care. This included adult daycare, personal care homes, and due to increased demand, industry consultants. Through its team of professionals, the formation of the consulting agency, Innovative Senior Consultants, offers consulting and mentorship to healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and real estate investors. ISC provides them with the necessary tools to start, manage, and grow their own profitable senior care business.

Our goal is to help seniors live where they choose, and to create a culture of people passionate about serving seniors with the highest quality services to support their health, safety, and dignity.” Eshonda and Jessica revealed. Innovative Senior Consultants have over 22 turnkey properties ready to be leased out to entrepreneurs ready to enter the industry, with plans to purchase 25 more in 2022 alone. In the coming years, they plan to continue the expansion of their footprint across the nation. In a separate statement, they shared their long term goal of becoming a nationally recognized company, setting standards of innovative caregiving through comprehensive senior networks, and touching every household with love and care.
