Interview With Bianca Peynado: Building An Authentic Community on Clubhouse

Hi everyone, today we are interviewing Bianca Peynado, founder of one of the best rooms on Clubhouse titled “Looking for AUTHENTIC and GENUINE people on Clubhouse”. During the interview, we talk about the following:

  • How and Why Bianca is Bringing Together Authentic and Genuine People on Clubhouse.
  • How she’s been able to create a place for people to feel comfortable sharing and getting into deep conversations with a community of strangers.
  • Why the app is gaining so much traction.
  • Learn about other rooms and Moderators.

So, what is all the hype about Clubhouse? Well, if you’re searching for a community or a place to share and join in on the conversation with like-minded people, Clubhouse is the place for you. Clubhouse is a new type of social network based on voice—where people around the world come together to talk, listen and learn from each other in real-time.

Bringing Together Authentic and Genuine People on Clubhouse

Jourdain: Hi Bianca, thanks for interviewing. Can you tell us a little bit about who you are/what you do and why you created the “Looking for AUTHENTIC and GENUINE people on Clubhouse” room?

Bianca: I’m a Vice President and Senior Program Manager at a global financial institution and have worked there full-time for around 6 years since I was 21 years old. I also founded a non-profit for preventing cyber-bullying and empowering others who have been cyber-bullied to create a healthier online environment. On the side, I do commercial acting and modeling in Florida.

Create A Place For People To Feel Comfortable Participating In Deep Conversations With A Community Of Strangers

Jourdain: I joined Clubhouse three days ago and have been in many of the rooms that you Moderate. Each room is always filled with Moderators and Speakers sharing their stories, giving advice, and providing a safe place for anyone to join in on the conversation/topic at hand. How have you been able to create such a safe place for people to feel comfortable sharing and getting into deep conversations with a community of strangers?

Bianca: I think it has to do with empowering individuals to genuinely make them feel comfortable and welcomed. When I have other activities to attend to, I have a group of amazing friends from Clubhouse that became so enthralled with the authentic people they have met and the positive impact that they have had, and now help me co-moderate rooms while encouraging others in the room to follow rules to make the room remain under control. I reiterate many times that the rules are to be respectful and kind, and also that their voices matter. Everyone has a chance to have their voice heard, and I’ve received positive feedback from people thanking me for letting them speak. Many big rooms don’t have time for everyone to have a chance to speak and I prioritize all speakers outside of the co-moderators to have a chance to speak as well.

Why Clubhouse Is Gaining So Much Traction

Jourdain: I work in the VC industry and Clubhouse was all over my Twitter feed for a few weeks. After finally getting on the app, I can see why it’s so popular. Why do you think that Clubhouse is becoming so popular and more specifically the rooms that you Moderate?

Bianca: I believe that we are all so excited to connect with other people after the pandemic has isolated us throughout the different lockdowns that have occurred across the world. I also think it is great for knowledge-sharing and hearing from experts in numerous fields. The other aspect of the application that makes it so special is its exclusivity. You now have the opportunity to have a conversation with prominent public figures such as:

  • Daymond John
  • Gary Vaynerchuk
  • MC Hammer
  • Charlie Puth
  • 21 Savage
  • Mark Zuckerburg
  • Elon Musk

The exclusivity of the app makes it so appealing. You’re able to connect with anyone at any given point in the entire world and that’s what keeps people up really late and makes the app so addicting. I’ve already met such amazing genuine friends and I love it for that reason especially.

Awesome Rooms & Moderators To Follow

Jourdain: I’ve enjoyed jumping around all of the rooms that you’re in mostly because I know that whatever room you’re in is going to be a good one. Are there any other rooms/moderators that you would recommend the readers follow/participate in?

Bianca: There are great people who have helped me co-moderate my rooms and who have positively affected other people’s lives so I will shout them out with their own rooms: Tony Shaw, Justin Everett, and Daniel Valdes with “The Only Official CH Talent Show,” Anastasia Lurovski with “unCOMFORTABLE,” Vyyyper with the “TechTuber Lounge,” Michelle (Misha) Hiresh with “Clubhouse Late Night Lounge,” Sylvester Long with “Mid-Day Motivation,” Cara Zimmerman with “The Gratitude Room,” and ANY room that Mirella Benedrete is in. Mirella is one of the most uplifting, genuine, and charismatic voices I’ve ever heard on Clubhouse.

Jourdain: I appreciate you taking the time to interview and I look forward to joining the conversations on Clubhouse! That being said, where can the readers find you on social media?

Bianca: Thank you so much for featuring me, and I can’t wait to continue chatting with you on Clubhouse! My Instagram is @b0nca and my Twitter is @biancapeynado.

Jourdain: Thanks, Bianca! Everyone be sure to go connect with Bianca on Social Media. If anyone is looking for ways to engage with their users during COVID-19 check out 4 strategies to engage users during COVID-19
