Interview with Branding Agent Dylan Leazier

Hello Dylan Leazier! How are you?

“Good, thank you for asking! Just happy to be here.”

Tell us about who you are, any past accomplishments, and what you or your business/brand does and offers.

“Hustler, forward-thinking, hungry, determined. I have worked with and been mentored by some of the most successful people at their craft, including Steve Sheetz, Gary Vee, DJ Clue, among others.

My entire journey has taught me so much, and there is still so much to learn. In 2018, I started Unknxwn, a creative and branding agency, with the hopes of making it my full-time gig. Now, in 2021, I am officially launching Knxwn, which encompasses two verticals: Knxwn Sound and Knxwn Creative.

Representing various clients in the music industry, Knxwn Sound was established to help aspiring artists build their brand and sound, and break through the noise in a crowded space. Services include artist management, content creation, creative direction, marketing, and brand/sound development. The Knxwn Sound family encompasses Fresco Trey and Fresco the Label, as well as Kamrin Houser.

Knxwn Creative, helps clients identify trends and focus on their needs. Knxwn pushes clients to become the best versions of themselves. Services include content creation, design & copywriting, social strategy, and strategy/creative work.”

What is the most rewarding part about what you do?

“Being able to build something from the ground up. Helping to enhance something that is already established. A brand, a company, or talent that is established.”

Tell us more about your business, brand, or what you do and offer to people as an entrepreneur?

“Representing clients in the music industry, and helping them to fulfill their potential with creative and branding strategy. Working with brands that could use some creative direction and strategic work.”

What are some of the challenges you faced along the way?

“Starting off in a small market and trying to figure out how the hell to get from there, where you’re a relative unknown, to then go to a bigger city and establish yourself and start to make connections and be successful. How do you prove yourself when you hardly even have a voice in the game?”

What do you want your audience to know about you?

“Hard work pays off. Legacy is everything that you have in life, how will people remember you? If you put in the work, if you set your sights on something and really go for it, you’ll leave a legacy.”

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

“Knxwn being a powerhouse in the new age of music and content. Investing in other startups, continuing to grow and working on leaving that legacy.”

What is your ultimate goal or vision?

“To leave a positive impact on this planet – to leave the planet with no regrets, leave everything on the table. My vision is to keep doing everything I can do to the best of my ability. Money and fame are cool, but it’s all about leaving that legacy and being a positive influence.”

Anything else you would like the audience to know?

“Not really, would just like to thank those who have supported me thus far, I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them.”
