Let’s start from the beginning. What made you want to start Happy Jewelers?
“Life is a journey, and jewelry helps to commemorate those special moments in someone’s life. Whether it’s an engagement ring, birth, wedding, anniversary, graduation, etc, jewelry is a symbol of love and admiration and that’s what I love… helping people create a symbolic memory.”
What important steps did you take to get your store off the ground?
“I worked to build relationships with quality suppliers. I set to maintain the highest standards in the industry in business ethics, professionalism, knowledge, and customer satisfaction and proved to them my craft. We started small, just family. In fact, my wife, Susie, worked alongside me for many years prior to starting a family. We have two girls and two boys. Like their mother, my girls are now old enough to share and be a part of the business in helping people create lasting memories.”
What types of advertising did you find most effective in your initial stages?
“Community events where you interact with people, as well as cross-promotional partnerships; BMW, Real Housewives of Orange County, Bravo TV, Red Carpet events, Hoag Hospital, and more.”
Your store has a lot of foot traffic, what type of vibe are you looking to create when a customer walks in?
“A friendly welcoming vibe. We want everyone to have a happy, stress-free shopping experience, whether you’re buying a $200 piece or $200,000 piece of jewelry. We treat every customer the same.”
What is your most popular service/product?
“Custom engagement rings. We offer a wide variety of jewelry, custom pieces, and luxury watches, but custom engagement rings are what we are known for.”
How do you make sure your store/products/services will appeal to your higher-tier clientele?
“Service and quality. Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we can create the most cutting-edge designs, offer the best pricing in the industry and maintain optimum quality control, but best of all, deliver what we promise, 100% satisfaction guaranteed.”
What sets your store apart from others in your industry?
“We are a family. We treat our team members and our customers as if they are walking into our home. We don’t want people to feel intimidated walking into a jewelry store. We offer the best quality products at competitive prices with unsurpassed customer service.”
