Interview With Chicago Artist HotBoy Finn

Hi HotBoy Finn! How are you?

“Doing good, thanks for this opportunity.”

Tell us about your background, what have you gotten to where you are today?

“What got me here today is my freestyles. It started I would say about 7 months ago when I first started rapping I was dropping freestyles on my Instagram page and people just started messing with me heavy.”

Where are you from?

“Chicago, Illinois”

When did you start music?

“I literally just started making music 7 months ago almost a year now.”

How did you get into music?

“I’ve always loved and listened to music but my dad is a rapper so that’s probably where I got it from.”

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

“The most challenging thing I’ve overcome is my dad passing away. He died when I was 7 and growing up without a father was definitely tough but I had a strong mom there for me to guide me and keep me focused at all times.”

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

“I’m a very silly and playful person so when people hear my music I want them to feel free to be themselves I try to make as much versatile music as possible because I try to hit all crowds when it comes to music. Like I stated I’m a very fun and down-to-earth type of person so when people hear “HotBoy Finn” I want them to think my music is the type of music they can vibe to, get up, and dance to, all types of things like that. I love to play around and dance so you may catch me dancing on one of my triller videos I post on my Instagram just having fun because that’s the type of person I am.”

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

“My greatest achievement as an artist is really bringing other people peace and love. A lot of people show me love and attention on my social media and it puts a smile on my face when I see them happy or loving what I do. I feel as an artist there’s nothing like making your fans or supporters happy.”

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?

“Like I stated I just got done recording two songs I remixed in LA. Cardi B “UP” and SpotemGottem “beatbox” both those songs will be dropped this month in April for sure.”
