Beginning of Interview

Hello Kyy Stacks, how are you?

“I’m doing great, thanks for asking.”

What exactly do you do for a career?

“Every day I work on my craft of creating music. I am consistently in the studio and at home writing music, working on my next project, and working with my management to create a plan for my future.”

What was the process for you to find what you wanted to do?

“When I was growing up, I had many musical influences in my life. My mom always sang around the house and while I don’t necessarily listen to the music she likes; I think her taste in music definitely affected my desire to be an artist. I love listening to music that I can relate to. When I was younger, I had to struggle, and I try to put all that pain I have experienced into my music because I think that other people will relate to it.”

What is the most rewarding part of the job?

I think that the most rewarding part of my job is definitely interacting with my fans. During every show, I try to go into the audience to talk with my fans and show love to them because I feel like they genuinely connect with me. I think taking pictures with my fans will give them an experience that they will take with them forever and they’ll be a lifelong fan.”

What is your greatest success so far?

“I’ve had plenty of success and opportunities through my career, but I think that this is just the beginning for me. While going on tour with a major label artist is definitely one of my successes, I don’t feel like I have achieved enough success until I am able to move my mom out of the hood.”

What do you want your audience to know?

“First, I want my audience to know that I appreciate their support because it allows me to continue to do what I love to do. I also want my audience to know that my music reflects the life that I have lived so far and whether you can relate to my life or not, I think the music speaks for itself as an art.”
