Interview With New York Artist Ron E

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

“First love was a drum set and gradually started to sing in the choir for church and at a music school Renaissance EMS. We performed all over New York. I fell in love with R&B during that time as well as the culture, and I studied over and over different groups and different artists. In 2012 I started up a group known as “Exit21″ with neighborhood friends and my twin brother. As we would put together cover songs and sing harmonies, we eventually took off generating millions of views and fans worldwide. This allowed myself to get familiar with touring overseas and in the states. In 2019, I began my solo career and dropped my first project called “Good Intentions.” I was also blessed with the opportunity to begin writing music for major artists and producers, and to now drop my newest single “Only You.” 

Where are you from?

“I am from New York.”

When did you start music?

“I started to do music when I was in High School.”

How did you get into music?

“My family has always been into and doing music, so I got involved by always being around it.”

What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?

“The most challenging thing I’ve been able to overcome was handling situations where people doubt the vision and what I’ve felt was best for myself. Being able to continue striving full force during that was extremely tough.”

Who inspires you the most musically?

“I get inspired by talent. Being around people that love it as much as me. It helps me get better and stay on top of my game and I get inspired when people doubt my vision only. God knows what’s next for me.”

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

“I want people to know that I’m next and best up! Not only saving R&B but changing the game as well.”

What is your greatest achievement as a musician?

“My greatest achievement would be selling out a show in London and the Netherlands. Really let me see that people feel me for my music all over the world.”

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is it coming out? What is it about?

“I’m excited to finally drop my single “Only You”. It’s a real fun, catchy uptempo vibe and will make everyone dance again. A lot happened within this year so I wanted to release something uplifting.”

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

“I want the audience to know more about my personality. I’m a Leo so at first sight, you may think I’m to myself but in all reality, I’m the guy you want to be around! Laidback but can also be the life of the party! I want everyone to also know how passionate I am about my music. It’s not about bringing R&B back, it never left. I’m adding to the culture with this new sound and vibe I bring.”
