James Lawrence is in the house! He holds, more world records than I can even keep track of! He is the master of “Iron Man” Races. He did a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run for a total of 140.6 miles in a single day.
And that’s not even the craziest part…. he did 50 of them in 50 DAYS in 50 DIFFERENT STATES. He drove to a different state every day. INSANITY!!!
In today’s podcast, James breaks down how he got started in triathlons and the mindset he’s developed because of it. He is truly one in a billion. The amount of determination and dedication is out of this world. James is such an inspiration and an amazing example of pushing past what’s thought to be possible.
His motto? If you see someone accomplish something you want to do, let that be the benchmark of entry, the minimum you want to achieve, not the standard! Don’t let it be the end goal or result because who is to say that you don’t have the ability or drive to go even further than you originally set out for?
If you’re trying to drive further than anyone has ever driven before and you hit that goal, but still have 40% of your tank left. Are you going to stop because you hit what you wanted to reach? or are you going to push past and keep going to see what YOUR abilities are?
Don’t short straw yourself. You’re more powerful than you think! Listen to the man himself and who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to go after that thing you’ve always wanted to accomplish.
