In an interview, Jiten has opened up about his venture ‘Local Forever’ and much more.

Read the detailed interview of Jiten Thakkar below:

The name is quite catchy. Why Local Forever is the name of your venture?

Yes, the brand name Local Forever is indeed easy-to-connect with, it’s a platform with a strong vision to empower local businesses to succeed. It basically represents the efforts, confidence & passion the local/small business owners put-in for sustaining their business through any circumstance. Usually, people shift their preferences to buy local products as per their requirements. What we intend to promote is supporting local should be the preference forever and not an option during the time of crisis. In this way, we play our part in strengthening the economy and supporting small businesses for sustainable development.

How much time has it been since you started your company?

Amidst the roller coaster ride, 2020 has brought for all of us across the world, Local Forever was born. After adequate research and learning about the common pain areas of many small business owners, strong indication suggested scope of improvement. My observation strongly suggested that various business owners wanted to get their businesses online. However, upfront capital constraints and less technical knowledge restricted them to do so. This is precisely the sentiment we wanted to address and resolve via Local Forever.

You aim to help offline small businesses. How do you make sure that they know about Local Forever? How do you promote your company?

Since the launch of the platform, we have been promoting Local Forever through various mediums including organic & paid digital marketing, Radio Advertising. Social Media has given us a tremendous response. We have also explicitly reached out to multiple local business owners in various sectors in order to educate them about the need to take their business to where their customers actually are – The Internet.

How important do you think is social media in today’s time for people who run their business?

The new trend for established brands as well as start-ups that want to make a mark is social media. Especially in & after this pandemic people would easily have an instant connect with the brand that are creating content to serve their audience in these times. Time spent on social media sites has drastically increased in recent times & its imperative for a business to be available & active on platforms where their customers are spending the most time. For any business, Brand recognition is a great achievement. It shows that the company offers products and services that clients needs and trust.

What advice you would you give to anyone who wants to start their business and is struggling to grow their business?

My top advice for someone looking to start their own business or expand their existing business is to “ACT NOW”. The thought should be to move away from the planning and start executing their idea instead of waiting for the right time or focussing on perfection. No Idea unless implemented, is successful.
