Johanna Lamm: A Minnesota Life Coach Making A Name For Herself

Johanna Lamm is a wellness, spiritual, and life coach who started as a clinical psychologist. Many often wonder how a psychologist of Johanna’s stature got into coaching. Well, hers is an interesting story.
Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, Johanna went to Hamline University, where she earned her psychology degree. Later, she earned her doctorate in psychology from the Minnesota School of Psychology. Jo Lamm Minnesota currently uses her expertise in psychology and her coaching training as the basis for her coaching process.
The Coaching Journey of Jo Lamm Minnesota
Jo Lamm’s career mainly entailed pathology and issuing labels for insurance companies as a trained clinical psychologist. She had a strong desire to do more to help improve the overall well-being of her patients. That is why she decided to take some yoga and coaching classes.
As a result, she earned herself the advanced yoga teacher certification. Later, she became a certified life coach, wellness coach, and spiritual coach. Since clinical psychology is a tightly-regulated profession with no room for experimental or alternative medicine techniques, Jo Lamm Minnesota decided to shift to coaching and bid her clinical psychology career farewell.
Many other factors convinced her to make this bold move. For starters, she did not like those insurance companies had the final say regarding the number of sessions she could have with her patients and the duration. Jo Lamm strongly believes that the frequency and duration of sessions should be dictated by the patient’s needs and nothing else.
Secondly, she did not like that billing took a lot of time and involved a lot of paperwork. Her new coaching business simplifies billing as clients pay before or after their sessions. Thirdly coaching allows her to focus on what truly matters to her; helping clients professionally and personally.
How the Coaching Journey Has Been for Jo Lamm Minnesota
After bidding goodbye to her psychology career, Jo Lamm set up her coaching business at home. She got her first client from a referral made by her former client. Most of her clients have been referred to her by previous clients, so she spends little on marketing her business because she has a healthy stream of clients.
Aside from former and current clients, she also gets new clients from referrals made by other professionals in the industry. She also advertises her business and the services on third-party websites connecting potential clients to coaching professionals.
Since she works from home and spends little on marketing, her business became profitable quickly. This can be attributed to the low overhead costs. Her success as a coach can be attributed to her passion and enthusiasm for what she does.
Jo Lamm’s in-depth knowledge of psychology, life coaching, spiritual coaching, and wellness coaching make her a highly effective professional in helping clients improve their personal and professional lives. It is important to note that Jo Lamm Minnesota mainly focuses on helping women take up their space and find their voice.
