John Danes – Expelled From High School To Serial Entrepreneur

John Danes grew up in the small town of Goodlettsville, Tennessee. From a young age, he was always a hustler. He vividly remembers selling golf balls, Pokémon cards, coupon books, and action figures. Going through school, he never did very well. Year after year, he was tested for ADD due to his lack of focus. His teachers always saw him as bright and talented, but nothing in the classroom seemed to click.

Going through high school, he was always a talented baseball player and was still hustling. Still, nothing in school seemed to click or work. In 10th grade, he was expelled from his high school for bad behavior and failing grades. After transitioning into homeschooling, he started messing around with e-commerce and social media. He started waiting in line to buy rare sneakers and clothing, and then flipping them for a premium on different e-commerce platforms. This was the first time he truly applied himself and enjoyed what he was doing.

In the summer of 2016, he went to go work for a mentor and close friend at his multi-million dollar e-commerce business in Kansas City, Missouri. He was being paid as intern and working 80 hour weeks. This was the first time his eyes were opened to true wealth and making a life through entrepreneurship, immediately he was hooked.

Destined to make something happen, he started researching all the online business models and ways of making money online. He decided that with his minor experience with social media mixed with the fascination of the way it worked, that starting a digital agency was his best bet. Although it was a rough start at the beginning, now he has completely learned the ins and outs of Social Media and the Business world.

He know owns one of Nashville’s top digital agencies, 99MEDIA. He describes the experience as, “the best personal development training along with a great compensation package”. John is now seeking his goals out with his business partner, Adam Artemis and helping Real Estate agents build their personal brands and get leads on autopilot.

Along with a successful agency, John also decided to start a Podcast in August of 2018, called The No Excuses Show. Soon after the launch, he started to see quick success. With only 17 episodes, he hit the 39th business podcast in the world. John has used podcasting as a way to build his business, personal brand, and network while helping educate others. He has now interviewed individuals like Grant Cardone and many others.

Although John Danes has seen great success for only 19 years old, many people don’t see what has happened behind the scenes. Lots of long nights, early mornings, and part-time jobs. Although John showed no signs of success early on, he is a true testimony to the fact that with hard work and persistence anything can happen. It is great to see what he has achieved and he’s definitely someone to look out for in the future.
