Journey Through Words and Colors: Actor Matteo Della Putta’s Passionate Pursuit of Language, Culture, and Art

Who is Matteo Della Putta?

Matteo Della Putta, a native of Cremona, Italy, has always been passionately drawn to the arts and deeply moved by humanitarian issues. During his middle school years, an inspirational English teacher opened the door to a world beyond his home country, sparking an enduring fascination with different languages, diverse cultures, and the magic of travel. Under his teacher’s guidance, Matteo began his linguistic journey in a specialized high school, immersing himself in the beauty of English, French, and German languages and their profound literature. Yet, an innate longing for artistic self-expression remained at the heart of his aspirations.

At the age of 16, Matteo stepped onto the path of his artistic dreams by becoming a part of a local theatre group called “VarieAzioni” in his hometown. Here, he embarked on a transformational journey into the world of acting, starting as a member of the ensemble in their maiden production before evolving into more complex roles like Haemon in the classic Greek tragedy “Antigone.” This significant experience fortified Matteo’s passion for acting and set him on a course towards his creative ambitions.

Following high school, Matteo moved to Los Angeles and joined the esteemed American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) to deepen his understanding and mastery of acting. However, the sudden advent of the global pandemic led him to pause his studies and return to Italy, where he adapted to the new reality with resilience and determination. Matteo used this time to continue his artistic and personal growth by enrolling in the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Florence, studying acting for the camera, and exploring the depths of human behavior and emotions through an online psychology course.

From Cremona, Italy to Hollywood

In 2021, Matteo returned to Los Angeles with renewed vigor to complete his degree at AADA, successfully graduating in May 2022 with an honed skill set and a burning love for his craft. Immediately breaking into the industry, Matteo secured leading roles in multiple short films and landed his first role in a feature film.

Matteo tackled the somber and complex topic of depression in the short film “Letargia,” skillfully embodying the inner turmoil of a character in a battle with their mind. This poignant performance has garnered attention, with the film being shortlisted for various festivals both in the US and internationally. In “Unbearable,” Matteo sensitively portrayed a character grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from an abusive background, his performance shedding light on the profound impact of trauma. In “The Elysian,” Matteo ventured into the realms of suspense and mystery, masterfully playing a mysterious killer. He showcased his versatility in “The Freaks,” merging his love for acting and music, and finally, his talent and dedication were recognized with a significant role in the feature film “Arena,” where he played a professor labeled as crazy by society.

From the small town of Cremona to the bustling streets of Hollywood, Matteo Della Putta has become a promising light in the world of cinema. Through his artistic journey, he continues to contribute to the global discourse on humanitarian issues, proving that the language of cinema, much like his love for languages, transcends borders.

Matteo Della Putta’s burgeoning career and distinct talent have captured the attention of many in the industry. Currently, he is represented by the esteemed GTK PR Agency in Los Angeles. Sherry Lee, a senior publicist at the agency, expertly manages all of Matteo’s public relations needs.
