Kristi Jo Shields on Digging Deep and Sharing Her Spark With the World Through Her Inspiring Book

Many believe that success is reserved for those who have had an undeniable spark from the get-go. However, these millions of individuals do not know that victories lie with someone with dreams. As a matter of fact, many established authorities have shared that several factors carve their success stories, and the most significant one is their drive to translate their vision into action. As one of those who have started from scratch, Kristi Jo Shields shares her journey to spark a light among those who are lost, struggling, and unafraid.

Kristi Jo Shields is an author currently making waves for her stellar content. Her wide array of poems and stories have captured the attention of many individuals – young and old – enabling her to cement an incredible first impression in the field. But, while it may seem that she has had it all from the get-go, a story lies beneath her success dedicated to inspiring hopefuls across the globe.

Before Kristi Jo Shields became an emerging author in the industry, she was a hairstylist who had a lot to deal with. Shields got a divorce, which led to her raising her three children on her own. Then, when the pandemic struck the world with a massive economic downturn, she was one of those who lost their job. These shortcomings would have pushed people towards the edge, but Shields continued to persevere and worked as a therapeutic recreation specialist, enabling her to realize her unparalleled passion for writing again. For this reason, she picked up a piece of paper and began writing.

“I’ve always written poems and stories since I was a little girl. I would listen to my grandma sharing her poems, and they were amazing,” shared Shields. “Through the years, I always expressed my desire to write but never took the time. The pandemic gave me time,” she added.

Today, Kristi Jo Shields is the author of The Masks We Wear, a collection of poems created during the pandemic. These poetic stories were written based on how each of Kristi Jo Shields’ family member’s perspectives was during this time. Each story is serious yet presented with a light heart and open mind.

When asked about her motivation for writing a book, she always mentions her desire to inspire others. Raising three children and being a single mom and divorcee, Kristi Jo Shields wanted to show that anyone can make it. Whether the dream is too far or impossible, everything is within arm’s reach – so long as one never stops believing in themselves.

“Everyone needs to believe in themselves and realize their potential,” shared the writer.

Currently, Kristi Jo Shields is preparing for another book, which is designed to entertain and bring light to readers worldwide. She aims to become a writer whose books speak volumes of her passion for inspiring others. With her book, The Masks We Wear, Shields is well underway.

“Getting a divorce, raising three children, and making ends meet has been really difficult for me, but I soldiered on. I want that same spirit to linger on others too,” shared the writer.
