Leading Social Media Coaches Share Their Top Social Media Tips For 2021

It’s no secret that social media is drastically changing the way we live, and the way business has been done. With more opportunities than ever for businesses to capture the attention of, and engage their audience, social media platforms have become a staple in marketing for companies and entrepreneurs across every industry imaginable.

Using social media to build and grow a brand successfully however, is a completely different story. Learning from those with the knowledge and experience, is crucial to succeed in the competitive environment – which is where the role of a coach becomes essential. I was fortunate enough to chat with these leading social media coaches, to learn and share with you their top social media tips for 2021.

Kamelia Britton (@kamelia.britton)

Kamelia Britton is an influencer & Instagram business coach who works with entrepreneurs struggling to create a profitable personal brand online.

She helps them grow their online presence and attract a loyal audience, thanks to her deep understanding of Instagram and her working experience with brands such as The Four Seasons, Expedia, and GoDaddy. She created her own personal brand based on her passion for travel, which has allowed her to create a valuable Instagram Marketing & Mindset coaching program to help other people accomplish their goals. Here are Kamelia’s top social media tips:

1. Embrace Authenticity

By embracing authenticity, we’re able to show our audience who we really are. Connecting with your ideal audience is impossible if you’re mimicking others and not showing up as your true self. 2021 is the year of attracting a loyal community by being authentically you.

2. Post With Purpose

People respond to quality content, so posting just to post shouldn’t be your main focus. Explore ways to support your community with your content and bring value to their lives while making it fun! The goal is to inspire, entertain and connect with your audience the same way you would with a close friend.

Lissette Calveiro (@lissettecalv)

Lissette Calveiro is a Latina digital entrepreneur living in New York City as an influencer marketing consultant to Fortune 500 brands, social media content creator, and business coach for influencers & personal brands looking to master social media.

She is the founder of Influence With Impact™, a consultancy that supports influencers & personal brands in turning their social presence into a profitable business with community impact. She supports her clients through 1:1 coaching, workshops, and a signature 12-week group coaching mastermind.

Lissette was previously Director of Influencer Marketing at Ogilvy and has more than 9 years of experience in PR & social media, and as an established influencer and content creator.

She was recently named a Top 10 Social Media Coach by Yahoo!, and received a Shorty Award for her influencer campaign work. Here are Lissette’s top social media tips:

1. Connect through content

Focus on creating content that builds a connection between you and your ideal clients or followers. To do this, you need to know them. What do they desire? What’s their lifestyle like? What can you say to make them feel seen and heard? Building a connection with your audience will lead to more engagement, greater loyalty, and bigger opportunities.

2. Give the engagement you want to receive

If you want to increase engagement, you need to be active in your community. Reply to people’s comments, go through the people who liked your posts and engage with their pages if they’re public, visit hashtags or location tags and interact with the content you find. Do this every day and you’ll see a significant change!

Ksenia Avdulova Brief (@ksenia.brief)

Ksenia Avdulova Brief is a successful entrepreneur, social media coach, sought-after public speaker, host of Woke & Wired podcast , and the founder of Breakfast Criminals, an award-nominated platform. Her focus is centered around expanded consciousness in the digital age and she’s here to transform the way entrepreneurs show up and make money online. She developed her own method, the Conscious Social Media Method, to provide effective principles, tools, and mindset to conscious entrepreneurs, coaches, and healers. Here are her top social media tips:

1. Master short-form video storytelling

Short-form video content became extremely popular in 2020 and it’s not going anywhere. It’s a great way to educate, entertain or inspire consumers who are craving human touch.  The audience you can reach on TikTok is unparalleled. Pro tip: repurpose your TikToks for Instagram Reels (without a watermark) and Pinterest for a traffic surge.

2. Consider creating a digital avatar

If your presence online is your personal brand, consider creating a digital alter ego. Personal branding online has shifted from aspirational and far from reality to authenticity being #1 value, leaving us wondering where to draw the line between what to share and what not to share.

With the evolution of technology as well as human consciousness, we’re now ready for a new paradigm of personal brands. One where you thoughtfully and creatively share parts of who you are and what you’re here to create without the pressure to share all parts of your life. In the long term, this will lead to a better balance between our online and offline lives.
