Lukas Schirmer on Entrepreneurship, Investment, and Marketing

Digital marketing agencies have cropped up as more and more companies rely on digital marketing to promote their products or services. But building a successful digital marketing agency from the ground up takes work. With more people investing in the digital space, it has become highly crowded and competitive, and getting brands and personalities to trust you and work with you takes a lot more than before. The same goes for entrepreneurship and investing. Lukas Schirmer has established his brand as an authority in these three fields and now shares his take on success in entrepreneurship, investing, and marketing.

Lukas is a young entrepreneur, e-commerce specialist, and digital marketer. He is the brains behind Twist & Schirm, a top e-commerce performance agency. T&S measures your success using hard sales/profit KPIs and helps you scaling your revenue by getting you in front of your target market. Lukas is also an angel investor. He is focused on creating synergies between companies and has a portfolio covering all aspects and the whole supply chain of e-commerce, pushing him to start his investment journey. Some of the companies he has invested in include The Plant Box, GoTiger, Yamuntu, and Wonnda.

His background, approach to business, and ability to work with others have helped him build his empire and become a sought-after e-commerce ad specialist in Europe. Lukas grew up entrepreneurial—he started his first business in his teens, an experience that motivated him to invest more in this interest.

Lukas has a degree in theoretical mathematics, completing in the top percentiles of the class at one of the biggest universities in Germany, and has worked in e-com and digital marketing for 5+ years. Lukas started on TikTok in 2015 when the platform was still young. He took his time to learn more about TikTok and how he could use that to bring positive results for businesses. Lukas borrows from his experience working as a volunteer to redefine digital marketing for entrepreneurs while at the same time growing his agency.

Lukas has done volunteer work for nine years, caring for and looking after children and the vulnerable in society. Lukas has been to Dubai for fundraisers and is very active in helping the less fortunate. He is also a former board member of the Young Alliance of Refugees, a voluntary organization spanning all of Germany’s political youth parties. Lukas says his time working with these different organizations taught him more about teamwork, which has played a role in his journey.

According to Lukas, teamwork can change your final outcome depending on how you look at it. Lukas believes that on a micro level, the team is everything in a company. And on a macro level, society as a whole, which is why it’s important to give back. To him, having a great team and working collaboratively with other experts in the field have helped him build a solid brand in entrepreneurship and digital marketing.

Lukas Schirmer adds the importance of remaining focused and being ready to take a step back and strategize rather than just jumping into a situation. “In business, it is easy to get distracted and feel like you are not doing anything, especially when things get tough. But it doesn’t mean it is impossible to get to the next chapter,” says Lukas.
