Meet Anastasia Hisel: The Game-Changing Entrepreneur Disrupting The Wellness Industry

Anastasia Hisel is widely regarded as one of the rising stars in the world of entrepreneurship.

She is the Founder and CEO of Hello Atma, a game-changing app that is a veritable one-stop-shop for the wellness community, offering retreats, classes, coaches, therapists, practitioners and more.

Prior to creating Hello Atma, Hisel created her own prominent modeling and talent agency. A true powerhouse, she built the company from scratch and within a few years attracted 7,000 clients and her services were highly sought-after by notable corporations such as Pepsi, Nike, Alice and Olivia, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales.

After a successful and lucrative exit, Hisel is now prepared to completely disrupt the health and wellness industry with her latest brainchild, Hello Atma.

Disrupt Magazine recently caught up with Anastasia Hisel to discuss her journey to success and to pick up a few gems from this game-changing talent.

Disrupt Magazine:  Welcome! Can you please give our readers a brief background about your business?

Hello, Atma provides the opportunity to rediscover a new world in order to better yourself as a human being, connect with others, progress, and experience endless discoveries.

Our goal is to bring people together, by providing a platform that brings access to inspiring livestreams, unforgettable retreats, exclusive one-on-one sessions with holistic practitioners, therapists, and a wellness community you can really connect with.

Disrupt Magazine: Health and wellness industry is certainly a trillion dollar a year industry. At the same time, some say it may be somewhat saturated for new offerings. As the founder, how do you see Hello Atma making a unique difference in the lives of its users?

Prior to our app, there really didn’t exist a one-stop-shop platform where you could find wellness products in the marketplace but also experiences, coaches, trainers, retreats.

We stand for the proposition that there is so much more to wellness then just fitness classes. I wanted to create a product that can benefit everyone’s life, mental health, while simultaneously connecting them to one another. I think society is ready for a product like this!

I’d also be remiss if I failed to add that Hello Atma is replete with other features such as radically transparent pricing, user-friendly calendar management, and the ability to plan classes well in advance or pop in on a whim.

Simply put, there is nothing like it in the marketplace – whether in the world of apps or online.

Disrupt Magazine: The dictionary defines “wellness” as the quality or state of being in good health. What does the term mean to you, and how do you practice wellness in your personal life?

To me, “wellness” really goes to the core of being a healthy person in one’s mind, body, and spirit.

My entire life, I’ve been an overall healthy person, working out 2-4 times per week and eating pretty clean. In terms of physical activity, I’ve always loved martial arts (I’m a black and red belt, so watch out!), and have been passionate about running and attending bootcamp classes. Food-wise, I mostly eat a plant-based diet.

In my heart, I’ve also always had a passion for learning about the connection between humans, and trying new products and experiences that can improve any facet of our health.

Disrupt Magazine: What is your long-term vision of Hello Atma?

Suffice it to say, I have a lot of ideas! I want to create a community behind it, introduce wellness products to the platform, and have all of these amazing experiences, retreats, coaches, therapist ready to work with you.

In the near future, I intend for us to create a personalized program for the customer. We will have offerings on each plane of experience: virtual, audio, and in-person.

We are well-positioned to become the premier leader in the wellness industry.

Disrupt Magazine: It sounds as though you intend to use your platform to make a significant social impact?

Oh yes, without a doubt. The Hello Atma platform will help a monumental amount of people to build a healthy relationship with food, exercise, and their bodies and minds.

I also believe that with our abundant offerings, we will demonstrate — by example — that health and wellness doesn’t have to synonymous with exhausting workouts or starving oneself.

The Hello Atma platform is poised to support all individuals in their pursuit of health-promoting behaviors, while acknowledging the societal, structural, and practical barriers that often impede health and wellness.
