Entrepreneurship

Moving With Purpose Without Following Trends With Leviathan DiVincenzo

What’s your backstory?

Leviathan DiVincenzo was born to split parents going between San Diego and Detroit throughout his youth, bouncing from living in garages to low income apartments and crowded family living situations, moving every year after around California and Michigan until he settled in San Diego for High School. A product of split parents, Social Welfare, and no stability Leviathan had to learn early on how to make a way for himself. His Mom developed an incurable disease early on in his life crippling her, he grew to understand responsibility and perseverance at a young age. Leviathan developed into an entrepreneur by necessity; anything he wanted or needed outside of housing he had to find a way to make happen for himself. After high school he moved to New York where he joined the Marine Corps to completely change his life and build a foundation that would allow him to build stability for himself long term. Through his military service he was introduced to credit and leadership which played big roles in his success in business after.

The first success he had was in Real Estate starting by flipping houses virtually, with his partner and their team, in Detroit. They then transitioned from flipping houses to building a property acquisitions company centered around wholesaling houses to flippers. They got their first office in Carlsbad and built the company to 12 employees doing deals in multiple states, producing their first 7 figure year. He transitioned out of that company during the onset of the pandemic.

He has been able to continue to thrive in business by being able to identify talent and potential that can align with his company’s vision. He is a true thought leader and can think on a very large-scale seeing opportunities on the horizon, allowing him to act on trends before they become trends and leading to innovation in his more creatively driven companies. With this foresight he’s been able to become an early adapter in the crypto industry not only as a passive investor but also an active participant in the crypto community and technologies. His vision along with his ability to structure and systemize has allowed him to bring his and his team’s visions to reality from humble beginnings, for example, Better Way a company he Co – Founded, held its second Better Way Conference with over 300+ attendees that came out to learn about entrepreneurship and the first conference with over 500+ attendees.

Starting at a very young age selling candy, shoes, and whatever else he could flip at his schools, Leviathan was always an entrepreneur, he identifies opportunities and builds business around them to capitalize. Early on he realized through his own aspirations nothing was worse than having a large vision and not being able to execute it, so he helps provide other visionaries the resources they need to accomplish their goals through the Better Way brand with his partner Jay Monopoly. With Better Way his team was able to help countless people change their lives by building their own businesses, within the first year the Better Way clients brought over $1,500,000 in revenue, many of them were present at the Better Way Conference and were able to share the successes on stage.

Aside from Better Way, he co-founded his trucking company, in the middle of the 2020 pandemic. He was able to position himself in the best opportunity to catch the rising demand of the transportation industry. He’s hired himself out of the day to day operations of the company so he can continue to work towards bigger goals. Most recently he’s registered his trucking company with SAM to be able to secure government contracts for transportation.

He is a part of a strategic business partnership with a team of successful like minded entrepreneurs to provide an opportunity for people to buy an automated ecommerce store that can be a hands off business for them. With their 30,000 square foot warehouse they are able to order massive amounts of product and manage the inventory for their clients stores. They do the product research, fulfillment and customer service for clients stores to make it hands off for the clients.

Aside from running multiple businesses Leviathan shares content through his social media, giving you a look inside his life and experiences giving insights about entrepreneurship. He is also a public speaker and development coach having spoken to thousands of people across the country. Giving back is also vital for him; he’s participated in charity events globally providing improvised towns with food and supplies, as well as holiday drives in the states once even spending $25,000 to buy out a grocery store for people doing thanksgiving shopping in the Bronx.

Leviathan’s grand vision is to build his family to a position of extreme success, creating a self-sufficient conglomerate within his family that will allow them to have influence in world affairs for generations to come, starting with his siblings and eventually his own family when he settles down.

What made you decide to choose this career path?

After a failed business attempt after his time in the military he was back at square one he got a job with AECOM and later PAE, 2 Fortune 500 companies, as a helicopter mechanic leveraging his military experience. Bought his first personal home, a 5 Bedroom house in San Diego at 22. Then he suffered an injury tearing his ACL and MCL no longer allowing him to work.

This hardship forced him out of the comfort and security he had leading him back into entrepreneurship. He realized he had to be able to rely on his mind for income and stop trading his body and time for income. This realization led him to go to multiple networking and business events leading him down the real estate path.

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

During his time in the military he was able to save up $25,000 through flipping cars leveraging his credit as a side hustle which at the time was the most money he had seen. When he left the service, he had his sights set on starting an entertainment business, hosting concerts by booking artists and venues then selling tickets. It all seemed so simple, but it proved to be more complex than he anticipated.

He had no mentors or guidance and he booked a venue and an artist and only ended up selling like 5 tickets, ended up canceling the show and losing a majority of the money he saved.

At that point he realized how important mentors are in business, they could have saved him from that mistake.

What do you think makes your company/personal brand stand out?

There’s no one Leviathan would rather be than himself. Staying True to his ideals and values at all times even when it’s not popular to do so. He understands how to move in his purpose rather than just following trends and chasing clout.

What’s a quote that you live by?

It’s the mark of an educated mind that can entertain an idea without accepting it as true.
