Executive Voice

From The Streets To Growing A Company To International Concern; Muhammad Asif’s Story

Growing a company is an exciting task. However, it may be intimidating at times. Every company endeavors to grow its business locally and internationally, yet few are willing to start from scratch.

Muhammad Asif is a serial entrepreneur, investor, owner, and CEO at the Main Course Associates(MCA)– a leading hospitality industry specialists. MCA aims at putting all their knowledge to work for every client and help them drive their future success. Besides, this company provides finance, strategic, and operational advice to clients. Muhammad also sits on many boards as an executive or non-executive director.

Asif’s Background Story

Muhammad Asif was born in December 1985 in Pakistan in humble beginnings. He immigrated to the UK from Pakistan when he was 17, with only a suitcase and £2,000. Unfortunately, all his belongings were stolen, making him spend sleepless nights on the streets. Life was tough. Asif had to do four jobs to make ends meet, a decision that can only depict the height of desperation, but he did not lose sight of his dream.

Asif decided to put himself through the university. In 2006, When he was 20, his hard work and dedication paid off when he passed his ACCA (Chartered Accountancy) exams, and he was one of the youngest graduates. Asif had a dream to fulfill. He wanted to fan his entrepreneurial spirit that was kindled when he was only eight years old. At that tender age, Asif had already set up his first business. Today, he has investments in the fitness & health, education, Import & Export, Beauty, Tech, Consulting, and hospitality sectors.

How Asif Manages To Scale

Success does not just happen; you create it. Asif has managed to create multi-million dollars in well under a decade. He first became a partner at MCA at 24. What followed next was his expansion of the business beyond international borders. He opened offices in the UK, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. Asif still dreams of growing the business in over 20 countries, including Dubai, the USA, Australia, and the Far East. But what has been the fuel for this great success? Here are the top tips used by Asif to manufacture success:

Have a big vision

Having a big vision will inspire you and help you navigate the storms you may encounter on the journey to success. Also, it will help you to persist and remain consistent in your pursuits. Therefore, ensure that your vision is worthy of you and remember, everything is created twice- first in your mind, then in physical reality.

Understand your paradigms & look to shift them

Work through your limiting beliefs and try to shift them since paradigms control your life, and it would help if you had a positive and uplifting one there. Basically, instead of thinking of all the reasons why you can not be successful, think of the ones why you can.

Decide to be successful and start moving towards it.

We are all self-made, but only the successful will admit it. Remember, if you do not decide on making a pie, you will never look up the recipe for making it- similarly, if you do not decide that you are going to be successful, you will never learn the rules of how to be successful. Simply Put- Decide, Believe, and Succeed.

Think, but think with purpose

Mental activity is not thinking. You have to think purposefully and with some inspiration. Thinking is the highest function that we can, and yet only 2% of people think. Think ahead, and engage your higher faculties when thinking.

Wake up an hour (or two) earlier than you are accustomed to

Waking up an hour earlier a day will give you nine extra forty-hour weeks a year, which, if used properly, will give you a huge competitive edge.

Get mentored & do not be afraid to bask for help.

Together we can achieve more. It is good to get surrounded by great people, build a fantastic team together. A great board of advisors and mentors will help you immensely. Do not try to do it all on your own!

Lessons To Learn

Do you want to grow your company beyond international borders? Understanding the market is key. Ensure you also research market opportunities in terms of potential sales and revenue. For Asif, people come first, he believes strongly in putting your emphasis on your team – the stronger your team, the better your results, little wonder that his business, MCA, was awarded Investors in People accreditation. This is something that you can also borrow if you want to go far. Ensure that you are investing in people who, in turn, will take care of your customers and take your business to another level. Also, ensure that you stick to your concrete plan to promote global growth. And when things get tough, don’t change your plans; change the methods.

Asif believes the sky is not the limit; your mind is. He draws his inspiration from great mentors like Bob Proctor, Kane Minkus, and Korie Trevino. He targets to be worth $100 million by 2025. He wants to continue growing his consulting business. By 2030 he targets to hit the $500m mark and be a major force in Public Speaking. Currently, Asif is working on a Private Equity fund that he wants to launch in 2021 to have an even bigger international influence.

Conclusion

In summary, if you want to succeed, have a vision, be persistent, believe in yourself, and be patient while working smart. Build a team and offer quality and professional services as you see your company grow to international levels – this can all happen, but you have to think about it first!
