NFL Legend Patrick Willis creates a Universe that puts Fans First

Have you ever dreamed of sitting next to an NFL Legend during a game, picking his brain as to what it’s like on the field? Today is your lucky day as one NFL Legend has launched a universe that gives you access like never before.
The National Football League has a rich history. Perhaps the most renowned middle linebacker in that history is 49ers legend Patrick Willis, who recently announced the launch of an NFL fan club called “Universe 52.” Willis said, “I’m so excited to introduce the Universe 52 community and to work with Fanaply to create even more opportunities to meet, interact, and build relationships with my fan community.”
In conjunction with Summit NFT Studios and Flux88, the fan-friendly NFT solution provider Fanaply was the driving force behind the development of the Universe 52 Collection. Their clientele includes the most prominent sports, music, and entertainment names worldwide.
Patrick played for the 49ers for his entire eight-year career. San Francisco picked him up in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. While at Ole Miss, he was a star football player who was recognized as an All-American by the Associated Press.
During his final year at Ole Miss, Willis was recognized as the nation’s best linebacker, earning him the Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Award. A year later, while playing for the 49ers, Willis led the NFL in tackles, was named 2007 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, and was selected to both the first team All-Pro and the Pro Bowl. Willis was an NFL All-Pro for the first six years of his career and was selected for the Pro Bowl in his first seven seasons. He took home the collegiate Butkus Award in 2006 while playing for Ole Miss, and the NFL version in 2009 while playing for the 49ers.
Now fans can interact with Patrick and other members of the Universe 52 community in a setting that is exclusive to members and provides them unique member benefits. Fans will soon be able to join the NFT community based on the Universe 52 Collection by purchasing a premium NFT member pass.
Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the NFTs contain illustrations crafted by the illustrious Rob Prior Studios. Prior has contributed to a wide variety of works, such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Terminator,” “Game of Thrones,” “Marvel,” and “D.C.”
“As an NFL player, I was only as strong as the fans who supported me, and my experiences connecting with you all each season hold a special place in my heart,” said Willis about the NFL NFT fan club. Original works of art from the NFT initiative will be raffled off to NFL NFT fan club members, who will also have the opportunity to win these works. Aside from this, each version of the NFT comes with its own set of membership benefits, some of which include the chance to spend time with Patrick at in-person events such as a 49ers game, a watch party for a rivalry game between the 49ers and the Rams, a celebration of his induction into the NFL Hall of Fame, or his 40th birthday party.
“Tokenizing fandom has been Fanaply’s goal from day one; Patrick and the Summit NFT Studios team are taking it to a whole new level with our platform,” said Sam Huntington, Vice President of Business Development at Fanaply.
