NJ Hosts the First 420 Expo for Consumers with Weed Legend Tommy Chong

420 Expo

This is probably what you think it is. New Jersey will be the host of the first large-scale, consumer-focused cannabis event. Taking place in Edison at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center on September 16 through September 18 – the 420 Expo is set to attract over 15,000 attendees over the 3 days. You may have seen them around if you drive around NJ considering they have over 20 billboards promoting the event. What a way to celebrate cannabis, new opportunities, and the recent legalization changes in NJ this past April!

Weekend Forecast: Cloudy

420 Expo is a bring-your-own-cannabis event – meaning there is no sale of THC at the event but everyone is encouraged to bring their own supply. Attendees can enjoy pleasant smoke breaks outdoors in dedicated smoking areas to light up and relax. It’s a great way to network and easy to spark conversations with others. Once the munchies kick in – or it’s just lunchtime – there will be a variety of food trucks on-premise ready to serve up some deliciousness. Food trucks aren’t the only ones serving up the yummy stuff – there’s an indoor dining area with more selections dubbed the “Stoner Food Court.”

Learn and Burn

Within the approximately 100,000 square foot convention center floor – attendees can sit in over 20 seminar and panel sessions to educate attendees on topics like legal, social justice, medical marijuana, and many more topics geared toward entry-level canna-curious folk and experienced cannapreneurs. It’s not just a smoke fest, which is great – there’s a ton of valuable knowledge being shared on stage but also throughout the expo floor with over 80 vendors. The exhibitors are showcasing the latest, greatest, and freshest products and accessories. This includes dispensaries, CBD companies, the sale of accessories, non-profits and advocates, legal advice, business and employment opportunities, and lots more.

Memorable Experiences

Musical performances can be enjoyed by the likes of DJ Geenius, The Mercats, Atari Jones, The Early Birds, Brother Jerome, and Screaming Broccoli throughout the event. In addition – there will be dance and comic performances along with interactive experiences like a state-of-the-art gaming station. There will also be a bunch of games for people to enjoy and on-site glass blowing which you already know is going to be awesome. And if that doesn’t cut it – axe throwing as an activity sure will.

Bucket List Opportunities

From Cheech & Chong cannabis activist and icon, Tommy Chong is a host of the 420 Expo. On Friday or Saturday, guests have the opportunity to secure VIP meet & greets with Tommy Chong and also with WWE Hall-of-Fame wrestler, Rob Van Dam. What a rare opportunity and for people who grew up watching them on tv – this is a big deal! Imagine hanging out there and then it’s your turn to go and blaze with a personality you enjoy so much.

“Even though more Americans now smoke marijuana more than tobacco, there is still a lot of misperception and confusion to overcome before legalization becomes normalization,” J. Handy, co-founder of the event, said in an official statement. “At 420 Expo, cannabis will be the star.”

The 420 Expo offers affordable VIP Admission, which will give attendees a 420 Expo drawstring bag and T-shirt, a commemorative poster and pin, deep discounts to vendors, access to the VIP Lounge, and free entry to the official 420 Expo VIP After Parties, among other perks.
