NMBL and Kulbi Are Taking Cannabis Storage To A Whole New Level

“We’re trying to redefine the cannabis industry by creating premium, thoughtful yet highly functional products using advanced materials for the modern user.”

When it comes to cannabis, everyone knows that no matter how hard they try, the smell is going to find its way out and the people around you are going to know you have some on you. And that is why Amazon best selling companies NMBL and Kulbi have been able to disrupt and change the cannabis storage industry with their innovative products.

“It starts with storage. Everyone needs a place to store their cannabis flowers, oils, edibles and accessories safely. We didn’t see an efficient choice in the market. From using ziploc bags to shoe boxes to wooden ornate boxes – none were practical solutions. We want to be the staple choice for cannabis storage for the modern user – from beginners to connoisseurs,” says Philip Li, the man behind these companies and their products.

With storage boxes and joint cases that are waterproof and smell-proof, Li’s companies have seen profits rise and demand increase for all the things they offer. We spoke to him directly to find out more.

How are your products disrupting the industry you are in?

We are bringing your traditional, iconic cannabis accessories and giving it a complete modern upgrade. The stereotypical stoner profile is long gone. Everyone uses cannabis now for various reasons. From a working corporate professional to a first-time parent. Their needs changed and we felt the accessory market had not caught up to this yet. So our products are designed for the modern cannabis user from beginner to connoisseur – something that is premium, discreet and built to stand the test of time.

Even though you are based in Canada, how have you been able to expand your reach worldwide?

Focus on the biggest market which is USA. Once you have a solid foothold, start strengthening your supply chain to handle global demand. It’s a tried-and-true method, have operations in a geographical hub and start building outward from there.

What innovations do the NMBL and Kulbi products have that set them apart from others?

We’re not afraid to bring new designs never before seen into the market and use advanced materials that are not commonly used. Our best-seller Blackbox uses ballistic nylon as its outer shell and our Vault uses a carbon fiber infused fabric. Our NMBL cases are created with nylon resin, a lightweight yet incredibly durable material that is crush proof, heat proof, and impact proof. On top of this, our products actually work (100% smell proof) and can protect your flowers & accessories perfectly. We even have lifetime warranty which cannot be easily said with other brands.

With 2022 here, what are your overall company goals?

We have a few specific goals. First, increase our social media presence. We’re doubling down on that – TikTok, Instagram, SnapChat. Next we will be increasing our distribution efforts so we can get our products into the hands of many. Finally, we are looking to launch more products to build a perfect ecosystem where all our products complement each other .

What strategies online would help grow and have the success you do marketing/selling?

Do not neglect other ecommerce DTC platforms like Amazon, Etsy, Ebay etc. They have done a brilliant job amassing a cult-like following. The buying intent is also incredibly high because they know they can find what they are looking for on the platforms. It will take some time learning and establishing yourself in these channels but once done, they will now serve as multipliers to your business.
